I ordered the Scarlet Ibis and Party Parrot online because I knew I would not have time to go to the stores and I am glad I did. I wish I had bout the Pink Pigeon, but I was skeeved out by the name (Pigeons - ugh). I know I will like them because they are matte and vivid and I love the names. I swear I buy some of MAC;s lipstick JUST because of the names.

i just saw a concealing video on the mac site and the girl used the morange lipstick to balance out here skin. interesting!
** okay the mac girl on the online chat recommended lickable. it's got good reviews on makeupalley even from brown girls. it's a creamsheen which i like that formula....off to buy! **

I have lickable and I love it. Very nice with my skin tone. I'm cappuccino with yellow undertones or in the MAC Mineral Powder Foundation, I'm "Dark". Whenever I dress up for outings (far and few between) I get nice compliments on it. I use the cork lip liner with mine.

i only got the Redhead skin finish - which reminds me of my beloved Stereo Rose (long discontinued) - and Fresh Air lip glass. all the other lippies were too orange for me.
but if you like purple shadows with a pale lilac undertone, the Daylight mineralize eye shadow is FABULOUS!!!

Turtles - they only had the natural collection in the department stores. The free-standing stores have the Iris Apfel collection.

That sucks - I thought they had infiltrated the country!
BTW, the Morange lipstick is available everywhere! I got my last tube at a department store counter. I am still lobbying for you to get it!

in a video on the mac site a brown girl used morange to conceal the grey tinge that sometimes happens on old acne scars. wow! it was awesome. it pushed me to buy morange. i tried it tonight. nice!!! the girl at the store reminded me it would look lovely on the lips too!

I did see that video - is that how you used it? Did you just pat it on like concealer?

yeah, but....
lipstick on your face???!!!!
i've used Ben Nye theatrical makeup to cover my spider veins - the tattoo cover in the lightest shade (NT-1). they have a dark version of this that is quite orange NT-4.

to me it's creamy like the pot concealer. i didn't wear it out just tried it for the color match and yes it worked on a very dark pimple i had. it helped it conceal better.
rou, i used a brush to get some off and just got a bit for color so it wasn't gross. yeah it's liptstick but i'm not so sure the ingredients are all that different. so many lines have multi-tasking products these days so it wasn't weird to me.
if i have time in the next day or so i'll take some before and after pics of the area because it is pretty neat

Are pink pigeon and lickable similar in color? Are there colors close to it but lighter and maybe warmer?
TIA

honestly i'm glad they didn't have pink pigeon online or in the stores because i liked what i got better. lickable was the color they mac chat lady recommended but when i was on makeupalley some of the girls mentioned girl about town and the review for that shade were really good and both were part of the regular lipsticks. when i went to the store i liked girl about town a little more. it's not for the faint at heart but it's nice! in the "help me find a lipcolor" thread someone posted a pic of kim k. in girl about town. i must say, it's lovely on her. i think the whole look works, a brownish smokey eye, subtle cheeks the bam girl about town. check it out! but also check the colors in the store because the descriptions are good but seeing them is better. i actually didn't care for the pink pigeon as much as the others. remember a lip liner can totally change the look of a lipstick, so can adding a gloss.

ok pretty embarrassing to post because i feel bad about these dark marks especially after my skin had been doing so well but i wanted to show how i used the morange lipstick to neutralize the grey/dark mark along with my concealer. i think the morange helped!
the 1st pic was last night, NO nothing on my skin.
the 2nd pic is today with meow foundation, a light application of morange and then with my concealer (layered not mixed)
the 3rd pic is when i added blush (i feel like it looked better in real life and maybe the final shot was a little too close or a weird angle)
this makes me want to take more pics to analyze my skin more closely.
