i think the second is a bad, BAD idea... but that's just me!

From what I've seen those press on nails are horrible. The lipsticks are ok...bit nothing to write home about. The Ruffian Gold is supposed to be a good layering shade, but I personally perfer MAC lorax (LE) for that. I agree...bad idea. Rather than all these collections I wish they would expand the permanent collection.

Heavenly Creatures is also offering 9 mineralize eye shadows (hello Aurora) and 4 skin care products.

i wish they'd send one email for everything in a new collection...

(i'm with you on expanding the perm collection and slowing down on the LE collections, NCC! i HATE getting attached to an LE colour and then having to search for it when you run out...)

Yes...i HATE getting attached to a limited edition shade. I've had luck with a cosmetic company outlet store near my house with finding limited edition items and favorites that have been discontinued. I manages to snag the LE "Pink Friday" lipstick that way and only paid $10 for it. But I've learned to just buy 2 if I like it in the store just to have on hand unless it's a pro shade then I'll just order it over the phone.

Not rou, but I got the Fire Sign lipstick and Astral Dazzleglass. I like them, but most of the collection is blah to me. I just don't want all that shimmer on my oily skin with huge pores. No ma'am.

OAN, did y'all know the Electric Cool collection has been available in Nordstrom since Wednesday, even though the supposed launch date is August 2? Nordstrom has it as part of the anniversary sale.

Hummm...might need to go to Nordstrom today and take a peek...although lately I'm not really feeling MACs eyeshadows. They haven't been as pigmented as they usually are.

I was thinking about checking out the blushes from the heavenly creatures collection but if it's heavy on the shimmer then I'll pass! I heard that the formula for the mineralized stuff was supposed to have improved. The Mineralized skin finish natural is my Boo...I wear it daily!

I like the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural too, but all of the other products have too much shimmer. MAC Heavenly Creature Mineralize Blush Collection Review and Swatches » Addicted to All Things Pretty has swatched some of the Heavenly creatures blushes on her skin if you want an idea, and she says she is NW40 (IIRC). I must say the colors are better (deeper) than what they look like in the pan but still too shimmery.

I saw Krissy's swatches which is what made me want to check out the blushes. I'm NC45 (well an NC50 now with all the sun I've gotten this summer) and its HARD finding a good blush. They either are too light, make me look ashy, or are just off. But I'm oily with large pores on my cheeks and the shimmer is not something I want to add to that so I guess i'm passing on this one too.

i do like shimmer and find the mineralize skin finishes in the lightest shades to be preferable to blush for me these days. so i did get Light Year.

and i am a fan of mineralize eye shadows, too, but i'm very particular of the colour combinations of those. none of the ones in Heavenly Creatures appealed to me. none of the lip stuff appealed either.

i think i'm getting fussy in my old age!
