the paint pots are lovely - with really good lasting power - and some are even better than primers as a base!

i agree...i used the black one today to rock a smoky eye. it's still going strong after a whole day AND a 3 mile walk in the park.

Optimistic Orange Cremeblush beats Nars Taj Mahal Powder Blush any day of the week for me. But I bet the Optimistic Orange won't be around forever, boo!

Oh wow... I'm getting that Crush Metal Pigment from the pink collection! It's a cream shadow, right?

I may also get the lipstick in Pink Burst!! I usually do sparkly eyes with a neutral lip, but I think I'll experiment with the opposite

I always love MAC's collections, but they so rarely include products that I would actually use.

i don't know why they are describing it as "creamy" - the pigments are powders. perhaps they have a new formula....? i'll have to head out to the store tomorrow and check it out.

our favourite makeup company is going a bit crazy with the new collections - this week they have one with a rock n' roll/biker chick vibe called Riveting.

and i have to say it's a pretty blah collection. it looks beige and black with the exception of one lippie and True Babe lipglass. even the blushes seem kind of muted.

i'll be giving this one a pass...

how is the Cyndi shade? is it very red, or very coral? the Viva Glam Gaga looks awfully pale.

i think i better go check them out this weekend.

i LOVE it. it's a "universal red". all the girls on makeupalley are raving about it too. the pic on cyndi is misleading because it looks almost unwearable red but it's totally not. it's perfect. the beauty of it is depending on the lip liner you wear with it you can have several different looks. i got a magenta shade (using beet liner), i got a more reddish shade (using mahogany). i feel it could go with anything and on anybody. that's why i'm calling this the "universal red".....did you check it out? what do you think?

and yet ANOTHER new collection:

Too Fabulous

there are new glosses they call "Cremesheen Glass" that appear to be more pigmented than the lipglass.

this collection also includes mineralize blushes and new shades of lip liner.

there is free standard shipping to addresses in Canada and the US through midnight Sunday with code FAB at checkout.

i did check out the new Viva Glam shades, but found Lady Gaga to be too pinky pale for my taste and the Cyndi Lauper to be WAY to bright red.

"Give me liberty...of London!" is such a terribly inappropriate slogan, considering the speech it's based on.
