Aw, no problem! Thanks a bunch!
As far as gel, as long as it is silicone-free, you're good to go. Doesn't necessarily have to be for curly hair =)
HTH!

Thank you...
Thank you so much for putting this all together. I've been confused about alot of things trying to go CG. I never even heard about the baking soda/viniger rinse. I am going to print it out so I can follow it. Thanks also for the tips on the low cost LS shampoos.

Thank you so much for doing this. It is very helpful. Do you have any tips on what i can do to help stop my hair from falling out so much? I shed like crazy. I started taking a vitamin B complex and biotin to help with my hair, but no mater what im dong or where i am my hair just falls out everywhere. I'm a very healthy person, so i know im not sick or anything. My hair used to be so thick and full of volume and life, but in the last few months my hair has just started to fall out & right from the roots too. What can i do to make my roots/follicles/hair stronger??

First of all, thank you for compiling this post. Second, IDK if anyone else had this problem but, the link to hairtypes above would not load any pics for me. I was really hoping to see some pics as I need visuals to compare. Any ideas on how to get the pics to open for me? I am currently running windows 7 and the site seems to be a mac one but I can read the text just fine. Thanks in advance.

I have this problem as well (also a windows user) and I used to see the pics but now they're all gone.
I wonder what happened...

Ok so I fell overwhelmed with all the information here. I'm very good with finding stuff on the cite either so that doesn't help.
I have a few questions. Do you cowash everyday? I have a greasy/oily complexion and had to wash everyday before I started CG today. Also, to go along with that question, what is the daily routine? I don't have long hair so I can't do the pineapple thing so don't I have to wet it every time?
sorry I'm just so confused

Wow, thanks! It really does help to have everything in one page I'm, obviously, a newbie, but I think I'm getting the hang of it! I'm going to see if aloe vera gel will work for me for 2nd day hair Today was a good 2nd day hair day though and I just used a bit of conditioner + water! hehe ^^

Wow this is a great compilation of stuff! Thanks, this was probably quite a bit of work and us people who aren't good at searching through forums (read: me and possibly others, lol) appreciate it!

I mix about 1/4 cup ACV with 1 3/4 cup warm water. I know some people do it stronger than others. I find this ratio works for me but you can play around, to see what makes your hair feel its best. If you search "ACV rinse" you should find a bunch of threads on how people do theirs. Oh, and if you have shorter air, you don't need 2 cups of rinse. I have dense hair that is bra strap length and I find 2 cups is more than enough.
HTH and good luck!

Is this your conditioner that you use to scrub your scalp clean or the conditioner that is used to soften your hair? I am sorry if this is a repeat question. I am very new to this.

I haven't tried this myself, but I've been told that Mane n' Tail shampoo/conditioner is great for thickening up hair. It takes about a month to see results, but I've been told it works! And yes, this used to be for horses, but they reformulated it for humans
Well usually, a greasy/oily complexion is caused by your scalp overproducing oil in an effort to make up for the dryness. (Hope that makes sense). I personally don't cowash every day - I use a sulfate free shampoo every few days and a sulfate shampoo every few weeks to get rid of buildup. I don't have short hair, so I can't answer your pineapple question, but here's a thread that might help!
http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/3a/118417-if-your-hair-too-short-pineapple.html
Several ways to look at this. Usually people use a cheap conditioner to cowash with, and then they use something more nutrient-rich and thick as a leave in/conditioner. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any more questions

So by co washing and buying shampoo without sulfates and silicones, is that considered a no-poo method?
