I thought, from pics on the site and general descriptions, that I fall in the "wavy" spectrum, but now I'm not so sure. For one thing, the description says that wavies have trouble with volume at the crown. Well, MY hair practically stands straight up at the crown, especially if I sleep on it wrong. Also, the hair in the back (when I get the frizz calmed) is big, soft curls. I just don't know, now. Is there some kind of a quiz or something, that can help you figure it out?

Sure. Look at one of the pink/red bars above where it says Find Your Hair type. You can also look through the Type 2 Wavy hair section there and see if any of the pics look like your hair.
There is also a 2 sub forum where lots of pics are posted.
