Newbie - not sure what CG is exactly?

Hello, I'm new to this site (obviously...). I thought I knew a lot about my curly hair but after looking through everything on this website, I feel like I've discovered a new world of people just like me.

I have 3A hair and get told that I look like Taylor Swift a lot...

The right side of my head has a massive amount of 3A curls while the left side tends to be more wavy. If anyone knows how to make the left side curlier, I would be so happy!

But anyway, I've been going through the threads here and everyone keeps talking about CG. I know it's CurlyGirl, and I think everyone is talking about that Handbook, but I thought I'd ask rather than assume.

I've been trying to not use my curling iron lately and not straightening my bangs so my hair can be more natural, but it's rather difficult when I don't know which products to use!

I am also in the middle of trying to dye my hair from blonde to brunette, not sure if that will change anything.

Below I attached pictures of my completely natural hair with just Aussie Leave-In conditioner in it.

Welcome! Yes CG is short for curly the girl method. It sounds like you are on the right track by decreasing the use of heat on your hair. I'm not really sure what you can do to make one side more curly but I bet someone in the 3s can help you figure that out. Good luck.
