Exclamation bad no-lye relaxer! HELP!

i know this sounds completely silly but is it possible to strip a relaxer? or reverse it? listening to my mother.. i let her put a no lye relaxer in my hair wednesday night. my hair has lost its curl definition..volume..everything. my twist outs & bantu knot outs are just flat & i HATE IT my roots just have a light wave to it and the rest of my hair kind of coils a little. it feels very thin . it really feels like i got a perm. before this i was a 4a 4b maybe a 3c 4a. definitely between those two..now that my hair is more relaxed..im a 3b 3c. i want my curls back can someone please help. btw i used ultrasheen supreme no lye relaxer. is there ANY way i can undo this and are my original curls gone forever?

They are not gone "forever", but they will be gone till the relaxed portion grows out. I made this mistake once, myself, so I know how you feel right now. I feel it was the worst hair mistake I ever made, but it did grow out for me and it will for you, too. I'm afraid I don't know of any way to restore your curl before that, though.

After a chemical service the hair is never the same. Now you just have to condition regularly and let it grow out. And if in the future you want to relax again, please stay away from the no-lye. It dries out the hair too much.

Hi Koolaid!

Sorry about your relaxer. You might want to check out our transitioning content area to get some tips about how to care for your hair as you wait for your new growth.
