When I was a kid I had 2c/3a hair but now I have 2a hair because everyone loved straight hair so I colored it and straightened it a lot.

Start Here! is a good place for you to start. It takes some time to learn how to stop damaging your hair and begin doing things and using products that will help it get healthy and happy. Be patient! There's tons of great info here - read as much as you can and experiment!

also has a lot of useful information. "Curly Hair Basics" will give you information on your hair (not curl) type, or you can use their hair analysis and let them figure it out for you. This will give you a starting point for figuring out what ingredients your hair will like best.

Basically regaining curl is a balancing process of protein, moisture, repair, and sometimes growing out damage.
