Red face I'm a newbie from Dominican Republic!

Hello everyone! First of all let me say HOW HAPPY I am that I found this website! Amazing!

A couple of days ago I decided that I didn't want to straighten my hair anymore. I've been doing that for almost 17 years! Every Friday for 17 years I went to the salon to get my hair straighten. In fact, I discovered I have curly hair only a year ago, when I stop going to the salon I used to go and my hair started to grow really curly! You can imagine how surprised I was when I found out that I have curly hair!

I live in a tropical weather country, and the weather has been extremely hot for the past month and I just didn't feel like puting heat on my hair. So I dunno if you would think this but I feel this is kinda like a sign of God telling me: "embrace your curly hair!" LOL!

So I've been doing that for the past week but I'm having issues trying to style it! I know it's a matter of time for me to learn how to take proper care of it and style it, but it's driving insane...a little bit! lol!

So, I just wanted to say HI EVERYONE! And hopefully we can all be friends and have fun!

Hugs and kisses from Dominican Republic

Sorry for the typos! My english is not perfect :S

How refreshing! This makes me so happy.

3B/3C Recovering from heat damaged :/... almost like transitioning because most of my hair is straight it won't curl, thsi is due to sooo many years of using heat without stoping.

Braid out and twist out are my staple styles right now! Not using heat since December 2011. Still experimenting with products!

Default Hola queridas latinas

By the way, this is a great place, you'll learn so much about your hair.
