Default Considering going CG

I have 2c/3a hair. It is low porosity and med-coarse. I have my hair colored on regular basis. I don't use flat iron except after coloring so my stylist can cut it. However, I do blow dry and use curling iron daily. I currently use curl conscious line by bumble and bumble. My hair is always frizzy and limp. Im thinking about trying CG method. I have tried deva cural angel in past but it didn't seem to have good hold, I was also using sulfate shampoo. I also tried going sulfate free few years ago but stopped after 2 weeks because of soft fuzzy hair without appearance of curl, however, was still using cones at the time and washing daily with no poo. Maybe wrong this to do? blob6: So, thing about going CG. Maybe trying a deva curl starter pack?? Does seem bit overwhelming. I will say I do not have time to air dry daily. Will have to use diffuser. Also, do I wet hair when in shower daily or keep dry or use leave in daily???
Finally, I will be having hair colored in 4 days and then leaving for beach over weekend so should I wait and try changing after trip?
Please, please help. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Welcome, vamplilav! It can be scary and intimidating to start a new hair routine - especially just before a vacation. Bringing out the best in your curls is all a matter of finding the right balance between protein and moisture. Cones and sulfates keep our hair from getting and retaining the moisture it needs. When you tried CG a few years back and got soft and fuzzy hair, you may have been over-conditioned and in need of a protein treatment. Also, depending on the cones you were still using, you may have been blocking some much needed moisture from getting into your hair.

It can be overwhelming at first. Read, read and read some more. This is a good starting point: Start Here!

Whenever you decide to change your routine, it may take some experimenting to find the right products and techniques that will work best for you. Hang in there! It's worth it!
