new here! 2B, i think, starting CG
Would love tips from other wavies! I think my hair is 2B. I had a pixie cut for over ten years. I started growing it out, and noticed my hair seemed wavier. I remember it being straight. But I have had 3 kids since then, so my body has changed a lot. Lol
I decided to go no poo a while ago trying to live greener. So for a few months now I have been doing the BS/ACV thing. I washed about every 5 days. I noticed my hair was getting wavier. I was using a straight iron and not really sure how to fix my hair anymore.
So I decided to give CG method a try. So the first time, I did my BS/acv routine, but then co-washed, rinsed, then put a bit of coconut oil on wet hair as a leave in. Scrunched in ArcAngel Deva curl. Looked good! I washed again today, 3 days later omitting the BS/acv. Looks OK, but not as curly as the last time.
My hair is cut into an angled bob, so I am sure not the best cut for curly hair. It was shoulder length, but I cut it as a last effort b/c I didn't know what to do w/ my hair!
Here is my hair before CG but about 2 months into no poo
And here it is this morning, before it was complety dry.
Any tips or suggestions?
Thanks!

Welcome! I love the bob with your waves! Looks great!
I'm new here, too, so I don't have much to contribute yet. My hair is very fine, but dense, and I think my curl pattern is kind of a 2c? Anyway, I've had the same problem on days I low poo - significantly less curl. I'm finding the more moisture I add, the curlier I get. Have you considered trying a bit of your RO conditioner as a leave in to see if that helps?
I'm sure some of the better qualified will chime in soon with good advice!
Dianne

Many wavies cannot co-wash exclusively. You might want to try rotating in an occasional low-poo (sulfate-free shampoo).

Like Corrina said, I'm one of the wavies who can't only co-wash (technically I can, but it makes my waves limp). I usually rotate in a super gentle sulfate shampoo (not CG, but it's more gentle than a lot of the low poos I have tried) and a moisturizing cleanser.

Those of you lo poo'ing.......how often do you do it? Should I stick with my old routine, just keep up w/ the co-washing on top of it?
Any tips for adding volume? The bob cut looks better w/ volume....

I'm lo pooing 2-3 times/ week. I haven't managed decent second day hair without fully wetting my hair, so I co wash in between. My hair seems to need the moisture, so doing this has actually made my hair curlier rather than weighing it down. That said, I can attest to the fact that it's a balancing act because I've tried heavier shampoos, like Shea Moisture Moisture Retention, that have made my hair flat.

Try clipping for some added volume (unfortunately I can't link from the app but there should be a link in the sticky on techniques in the general hair section).
As far as cleansing, I would try cowashing half the time and low pooing the other half; if you feel like you need less moisture, low poo more often, but if you feel like your hair is too dry, low poo less.
