Tampa Naturals
Hi  everyone My name is Brittany and im new to the site. I live in Tampa, Fl. and I havent seen many natural women in this city. Ive been natural for a 1.5yrs and I am still new to the process of caring for my hair and styling it. Very excited and happy to be apart of the site,Im not sure if im a 4b or 4c. Are there any other Tampa females here?

Hi Juana! Im loving my journey, it has made me fall in love with my hair ive just strated experimenting with different styles and natural products its made me really confident in who am and not to mention the hubby likes it.

What are some of ur favorite styles? because this month was my first time wearing my natural hair even tho ive been natural for 1.5 yrs i never really styled it or wore it because i was not comfortable with the length i now have it braided up to the crown and two strand twists in the front kind of like an updo.

I primarily wear twist outs and puffs. I can't use my hands very well for intricate hairstyles..

Cool im thinking of doing a twist out once i take this out, what products would u reccomend for a frizz free twist out and for deep conditioning.

I worry more about combating dryness than I do about frizz. Living in Florida and having kinky textured hair means there will some degree of frizz. I don't use cones, my hair just hates them. I use products that have glycerin listed as the fifth or sixth product in my gel or leave-in, but not at the same time. I make my own deep conditioner based on the conditioner I have on hand. I add oils and aloe Vera juice to the conditioner and sit under a heat cap for 30 - 60 minutes. My fave is Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture conditioner.
I forgot to mention I also use Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner as a deep conditioner as well. I don't add anything to it.

Thanks Grethchen!! Juana im glad youve found some products that work for you i will try soem of those out to see how my hair reacts im looking for a deep conditioner so im excited to try the Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner.
