Hello fellow curlies!

I finally broke down and joined the site officially and wanted to say hi! I discovered it several years ago when I was desperately searching for a hairstylist that could actually cut curly hair (and thanks to this site, I was successful!) but haven't really checked it out in awhile.

I've rediscovered the site again (and the forums!) and am intrigued by this whole CG/no shampoo thing--I really want to try it out. I have such hair envy for those of you who have found it successful!

I'm still muddling my way through the boards and articles on the site and trying to figure out my hair properties (porosity is the one I'm having hardest time with, ugh). It's amazing how much information is here (and a little overwhelming )

Hope to chat with many of you here soon!

Hello everyone,

I'm learning how to work my hair. I've been natural for about 3 years now. It's super complicated to me. I'm tired of wearing my hair one way. I love a variety of styles. I don't want to go back to perms. So, I'm glad I was referred to this website.

I found out today my hair has low porosity. My wave pattern is 3B. I've learn how to properly separate and brush my hair correctly while it's wet to get my wave pattern.

My question is a hot oil treatment considered a deep conditioning treatment?

I having grand opening for my beauty, wellness and fashion studio tomorrow. I need to step out looking SUPER HOT!! So please help!

Thanks looking forward to a response.
