Hi...I'm 50 and recently bc-ed after a 5 month transition.

My hair is short and my stylist did a wash and go after cutting off my relaxed ends a couple of days ago. She washed, conditioned, and added in some salon-specific curl moisturizer. I think I'm a 4a as my curls are coily and springy. So far, I have tried co-wash, leaving in some of the conditioner, seal with olive oil and finish with Jane Carter curl defining cream. I have to get it pretty wet for the products to curl up, but it sometimes feel dry by mid-day. I get considerable shrinkage too. I'm not sure what my hair is "supposed" to look like I've used relaxers for 42 of my 50 years! But no regrets with this change...should have done it earlier!
