A little about me :)

The thing I love the most about this site is its ability to market to all women. Not just one ethnicity in particular. I am eager to learn new tricks about how to take care of my hair. I've been natural for about a year and a half and I absolutely LOVE my curls. Although I can't wait for it to grow so that I can have a big poofy curl fro I am loving the stage I am in now! lol I am a college student studying photography and mass communications and I want my work to focus on natural beauty this semester and this site has really helped me a lot with ideas.

Also, I can't figure out how to add a profile picture. If someone could help me that would be awesome! :)

Welcome, LadyCurlFro! We are all struggling to make the best of our curls. This site is a great support and resource.

You can easily add a profile picture. Toward the top of these messages, there are two blue bars with several links. In the top bar, the first link says "User CP". Click on that. You will see a menu on the left that is titled "Your Control Panel". Under that, find the link that says "Edit Avatar". There you can upload a picture. Looking forward to hearing about your progress!

I love your idea of focusing on natural hair in your studies :D

You'll find a lot of great info and fellow curlies on this site. It's great to hear how much you already embrace your curls! Hope you'll post pics once you've attained your big rockin fro :toothy4:

Thank you. I'm trying to post pictures not but for some reason I can't change my profile picture. lol That is one thing that I love! Embracing natural beauty has always been something I wanted to do but listening to what other people have said about it has kept me from doing it. I just want to help empower other women who were told that their natural hair was "unacceptable" or is classified as "nappy" with my upcoming semester.
