Default Type?

Confused about what my type is...is it possible for a type to change in a lifetime? Here are images at different times--my routine hasn't really changed (but obviously the length has). What do you think? Am I making this too hard?

Hi, swampdiamonds! It's hard to tell curl type from a picture. There are so many things to take into account. These links were really helpful to me when I was struggling to figure things out:

Curl type is relatively unimportant for anything but haircuts and styles because it's transient. I never used products until I started lurking on nc.com. Once I learned to use product and good technique, my hair went from winter wavy/summer 3a to looking like my signature picture every day.

It's mostly about the hair properties. mhen76 gave you some good links to help you determine yours.

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestions! I'd read all of this information, but still felt confused.
