Default Hi everyone

I'm new here and hoping to get some help with my hair. I used to have curly hair that has slowly but surely gone straight since having a baby 2 years ago.

Everyone I speak to says it must be hormonal. I've been using a curling wand for months now and its really drying out my hair. I'm at my wits end!

Welcome, Anna2010! There are a lot of factors that can contribute to losing some of your curl. Hormones could very well be one of them. My curls are at their best when they are healthy and well moisturized. Many products contain ingredients that can dry out hair. Blow dryers, curling irons and flat irons can dry out hair. You may want to do some research on these boards about curl-friendly products. A deep treatment and avoiding heat styling may also help.

Welcome!!

I hope for you that you can get your curls back. As mhen76, don't damage your hair with curling irons and other stuff. Do a deep treatment. Because it might be hormonal, maybe it would help to ask advice from a doctor.

Thanks ladies

I've been to the doctor and everything is ok. I just dont know what is going on. I cant go out of the house with my hair after I dry it as its frizzy straight, so I have to curl it. I'll have a look around the site and see how to maybe curl it a different way. Although I still would love to know why its going straight all of a sudden.
