Routine help

Hi! So I have been following the curly girl method for almost a year(modified but now I'm more strict on the rules) and my curls seem worse than ever. They are dry,frizzy and unmanageable (I hate wearing it down so I wear it in a bun daily). My routine so far is in my signature, I wash my hair with the As I am co wash then I use both alba conditoners to rinse then I get out of the shower I apply my leave in (carols daughters hair milk) then tresmme moisture rich and then I let it air dry or put it in a wet bun with my satin night cap and sleep on it. I have horrible second day hair after I attempt to re apply the tremmse with water is there something wrong with my routine??

I put more recent pictures of my hair (I cut off a majority of the dead ends my stylist said to cut a little off for each visit)

Germanbella, maybe it would help if you tried twirling the curls. There are lots of excellent videos on youtube with different methods for dealing with curly hair. Maybe you'll get some ideas from those videos.

See if you can find a hair "twin" - someone whose hair is like yours and see what that person does.

Another suggestion: keep a little hair "diary." Try different things with your hair and note the dewpoint (you can find it here: do a search for "frizz forecast" and when you enter your zip code and hair type it will tell you the dewpoint and give you suggestions for your hair.) Then in your diary, note what you did each day, what products your tried and what styling methods you used. Maybe cg isn't for you, not everyone benefits from it. Have you tried putting some oil on your hair and washing in the morning or doing what is called "sealing?" Have you tried protein treatments, and/or deep treatments? If you have very windy days you might try doing a roller set which works for me in winter. Have you considered getting highlights? I guess I'm wondering what makes you most unhappy about your hair - is it the dryness, does it seem to frizz too much?

Your hair looks nice and thick! Many people (myself included) would love to have thick 3b hair. Also, are you happy with the stylist you have and the haircut? Maybe you aren't happy with the haircut.

I also have medium porosity, and my hair is fine, bit towards medium. Pretty close to your hair properties. I have a routine that works fine for me. It's in my signature.

I would try to switch some products and see what happens. Especially your RO, deep conditioner and styler.

Also, since when is your hair unmanageable? Since this winter? Is the humidity very low in your area right now? You might want to cut glycerin, honey, pathenol, sorbitol from your routine. These ingredients make your hair dry and frizzy when it's very dry or very humid.
