Hi from newbie 3B CG!

Hello!

Very excited to have found this place. My mane felt pretty alone and misunderstood til now! I just started the curly girl method last week and am looking forward to seeing what it can do for my hair. Had a big bump along the way in discovering I'm protein sensitive. Strawlike and flash drying hair was scary! I'm now in search of the right products sans protein. Still trying to figure out some of the protein in natural ingredients in products...I've read some hair doesn't like coconut oil (not sure if it has protein or not), aloe (which I believe has protein), and jojoba (which I read should be the only oil with protein). :confused3: Wishing I were a chemist and botanist right now!

Just wanted to say 'hello'...hello! Happy to meet all of you! And thanks to all the curlies posting who have been helping me figure this out without even knowing it. :thumbleft:

Welcome, misbehave! Finding the right products can routines for your individual needs can be time consuming and frustrating. Hang in there! We've all had our share of epic failures! It sounds like you're finding some great info here. Keep reading and experimenting - but be warned - this site can be addictive!

Mhen,

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm gonna stick it out. And I may already be addicted to this site!

Thanks!! Love your curls. Keep us posted on your length. Mine is waist length and crazy insane to detangle at the moment. New to CG though so I'm hoping once I get it all figured out and find the right products it helps! Does it??

Thanks for the iherb coupon code too! Will def be taking advantage!
