Hello!

Very excited to have found this place. My mane felt pretty alone and misunderstood til now! I just started the curly girl method last week and am looking forward to seeing what it can do for my hair. Had a big bump along the way in discovering I'm protein sensitive. Strawlike and flash drying hair was scary! I'm now in search of the right products sans protein. Still trying to figure out some of the protein in natural ingredients in products...I've read some hair doesn't like coconut oil (not sure if it has protein or not), aloe (which I believe has protein), and jojoba (which I read should be the only oil with protein). Wishing I were a chemist and botanist right now!

Just wanted to say 'hello'...hello! Happy to meet all of you! And thanks to all the curlies posting who have been helping me figure this out without even knowing it.

Thanks!! Love your curls. Keep us posted on your length. Mine is waist length and crazy insane to detangle at the moment. New to CG though so I'm hoping once I get it all figured out and find the right products it helps! Does it??
