Default Hello from NY

Hello everyone,

I'm new here!! , and wanted to say I love all the info this site offers. Today is officially my 1st day of going curly after months and months of straightening my hair. I actually just received my hot sock diffuser and jessicurl confident coils today that i ordered! I got super excited and immediately washed my hair to try everything out, so far its drying okay I still see a bit of frizz (most likely bc my hair is soo damaged from all the blowdrying yikes!) and a bit of crunchyness since i also used some biolage that i have but never used. Im not sure im quite loving how my hair looks right now but hopefully as time goes by I will grow to love my curls

Welcome Rina414!

I love Jessicurl CCSS, but what's your hair type? I find that for my 3b/c I need to leave some conditioner and add the CCSS to sopping wet hair.
Glad to have you here!

Hey thanks for the welcome! Well i think my type is also 3b/c, i added the CCSS while my hair was soaping wet, and flipped my head upside down and than added some biolage gelee but i still had some frizz!! And the biolage gel left me with crunchy undefined curls. It didnt look that bad i guess and after i got some of the crunchyness out it was soft and smelled really good. My major problem is alot of "puff" and frizzyness. Well guess i will keep on trying to figure out what products work best with my hair bc i refuse to straighten my hair anymore its left my curls so damaged!!

Beware, sometimes it's not always the products, it's the way you apply your products. I've tried flipping my hair when applying styling aid and it didn't work for me either. Major frizz and undefined curls!
I have to rake it gently and sometimes scrunch it gently and leave it alone. Once dried, i gently message my scalp for a bit of volume. HTH

Yeah i think you're right lol. Ive never flipped my hair like that to apply products, but i saw it on the jessicurl demos so im like what what the heck she has gorgeous hair so maybe it will work for me. Guess not. But if add it in the other way i seem to get flat hair on top. Is that you in the pic, you have such nice hairrr!!!
