Well if there is a secret society, no-one invited me to join either. We can always start our own anti-secret secret society

Welcome! some threads just have a bit more traffic than others. The general hair boards and non-hair discussion will probably get you some answers quickly.

Where in Scotland are you Maisie? My husband and several friends compete in Highland Games - we have a great time with it.

Oh dear no, we love international curlies! Sometimes the time difference can cause slow communication, but if you go where the activity is, you'll be fine.

Maybe you can even make suggestions on the best Scottish actors to play Jamie Fraser (Outlander)

Reading my first "Outlander" book

yes that's really annoying isn't it?i'd really like to try deva products but unfortunately they're not available here. i'm happy that we have mariposa and lexies curls to order stuff, without them i'd really be miserable. in the UK you could get your hands on aubrey organics products, i refuse to buy them here, one bottle of conditioner costs about 20 , fyi that's equal to about 16 or $31.

Hi! I don't read the Euro section as I live in the United States. Perhaps if you posted your questions here...

Where in Scotland are you? We lived in Edinburgh when I was a wee lass.

Hello, I am new to this site. I enrolled yesterday. I should of found it years ago. I am 3b/3c. My daughter is 3a, she has beautiful hair. However, the pool has damaged her hair. Her hair was never frizzy and unmanageable. I want to use the appropriate products but don't know which ones? Should I use the children line of products?

I am used to my hair being unmanageable but not my daughter's.

I did the unthinkable, I had a relaxer put in my hair last week. I haven't had one since 1993. I kept telling people that I loved my curls, well as I aged my curls were uncontrollable. And well I gave in! big mistake, with a bad haircut, it is a disaster.
I went back and cut another inch. My hair is damaged and breaking.

Suggestion?

Thanks

Ah, but you have Boots! The last time I was in the UK was 5 years ago, before I'd heard of Curly Girl, etc. Our time was so limited (thanks Continental Airlines for the three day sojourn in Newark Airport, especially the night and day spent standing in queues!) that the one time I was able to explore the hair care aisle, my mum finished her shopping before I found the Curl Creme.

Another scottish curly here

Although i'm not sure i'm really 'curly' - might be more 'wavy'.

I am hoping that a lot less shampoo and more care will make me truly curly cause i hate having curls and straight bits.
