Diffusing is using your blow dryer w/ a bowl like attachment to it.. you collect your hair up into the bowl and the warm air circulates thru it. Virus using the direct nozzle on the dryer on your hair which causes frizz.

Thanks so much!
This really helped, I've been wondering what certain abbreviations were and the place in the FAQ section of the site only has so many.

Thanks so much for this thread! It drives me crazy when I don't know what an acronym or abbreviation means.
And I'm glad to know that LOOB isn't what I thought it was.

Stylers generally help your hair get where it needs to be. In example curl boosting gels, cremes, etc.
Finishers are simply products that help your hair stay there for the long run. Those would be your sprays, spritzes, etc.

Going off topic. It replaced the phrase "hijack the thread" after 9/11.

Here are two others that could be very helpful. One of them seems to have become more popular as of late.
NE = Nexxus Emergencee
SNC = Suave Naturals Coconut

thanks for the information
Thanks a lot for clearing all that up. Know I can understand what everyone is talking about. One question though. When I post a reply how and where do I put my hair type and the list of products I use?

I don't think this has been added, maybe because it's so obvious for you native English speaking people
OP- original poster
I guessed that it had something to do with the first post in the thread, but i didn't know the exact meaning, now I do .
