Finally Decided to Join :)

I'm almost 30 and have been fighting my curls for a long time! When I was a kid, people used to call me Curly Sue. I used to hate my curls and started straightening my hair when I got into HS or pulling it up. Now, I'm ready to embrace my curls. However, now my hair has changed, it's no longer super curly naturally. It's gotten to more of a 2a look, wavy at best.

After reading the book, I started the CG method at the end of June 2009, but was totally using all the wrong products. I finally found this site, I'm now using Suave Naturals Coconut for a co-wash & leave-in, and White Rain. I use LA Looks Sport for gel.

The problem that I have been experiencing is flat hair when I let it air dry. It would be really flat on top and then curl at the bottom. I tried plopping, it worked initially, but would go flat after it dried. I tried diffusing today for the first time, that really helped with the volume and the curls, but now I have the frizzies! Not sure if there's a product I should put in my hair that can help with that? I also live in Arizona, so there's not much moisture in the air.

This site has been extremely helpful, that's why I decided to finally join
