Hi, as my username suggest, my DD7 is the lucky curly girl in our family. I must admit to being extremely jealous of all of your absolutely beautiful curls since I am a 1 (although I can get my hair to be wavy if I scrunch with product). I also admit that I never had a clue how difficult curly locks can be to care for. I am learning a ton from this site!

I think my DD is probably 2C or 3A - her hair is at her waist now, but seemed curlier when it was shorter...of course that could just be because she was much younger at the time also. Her hair is quite thick and seems to frizz even though we allow it to air dry 90% of the time. Do you ever recommend using a hair dryer (for instance in the Winter when it is colder in the house...don't want her to get sick)?

Anyway, it is nice to meet you all and I am looking forward to lots of reading and learning!

Hello and welcome!

Well, maybe you can have her wash her hair in the evening before she goes to bed instead so you she doesn't have to blow dry it in the morning.
It works for some, not for all though.
