2b hair (just discovered this) and never figured out how to manage the frizz. Dream of a perfect wash & go method. I'm a low maintenance gal & hate doing the straightening or blow drying and all the damage just blows too. For the first time i put the internet to some hair help searching. Thus, I found this site & much more. Looking forward to finding my wash & go method or condition & go whatever it may be. I feel hopeful I'll find it here & finally be able to embrace my naturally wavy/curly hair. Yes!
Helloooo curly world! 😃😃😃😃😃
glad to be here all the way from sunny Queensland Australia 😃
stocked to be apart of the curly conversation 😃
Hi All!
I've always hated my curly hair. I blame some of those feelings on my mother & straight-haired sisters (but that's for another forum, right?). I wore it super short for most of my life so it didn't have time to curl. When I turned 45, my hair started to thin & I let it grow out, but would blow-dry it straight. Two months before my 50th birthday, my mom passed away. I vacationed in Hawaii for the big 5-0 & let my hair do whatever it wanted! I haven't straightened it since then. I'm now living in the UAE & find some challenges with the de-salinated water, the heat, & products that are unpredictable. It was great to find this site & I look forward to communicating with more curly-haired girls!

Hi curly people!
I'm 19 and from the Netherlands, always had my hair natural. Think I'm a 2B hair type, but I'm not quite sure. I just found this website and immediately registered cause I think it's what I've been looking for for ages! I hope I can get finally get rid of the frizziness I've been cursing on forever and find a better way to define my curls!

There are plenty of nice bras in that size. You might want to try Curvy Kate. It's better to spend more on a bra that will last a long time to then spend less money on a bra you will have to replace in 6 months.

Hi all! I'm originally from MI. Naturally Curly has been so helpful as I am newly natural (9 mos). Decided this would be the best option for my new life as a full time missionary. Managing my new head of hair is work but I must admit I'm having lots of fun learning! I am determined not to be a product junkie so the product reviews are helping me narrow down the lists of things I want to try as I search for what's best for my 4a hair. Hope to connect and make new friends. Blessings!
Hello! Newbie here...I just started embracing my curly hair a little over a year ago. I use the CG method and love it!

Hello!! I'm Marrissa and I heard about the CG method from a blog and thought I'd try it out. Can I just say, I looovvee it?? I've been going strong for about a month now and I've noticed a huuge change in my curls. In fact, I noticed the third day! I love love love my hair now, and I seriously used to hate it. Yay!!
Hi all! I'm Ms Beverly and I have a YouTube channel focusing on wigs, weaves and other hair pieces to promote protective styles. I've been growing my hair out for about 2 1/2 years now and wore wigs the entire time until this spring. My hair has been straight my whole life until 3 years ago. Since its summer and hot I decided to wear my natural hair out but the frizzy mess is driving me crazy!

I just found out I have 2b/c hair. I'm happy to be here and look forward to all the information available on here!

Hello!

I am from nyc and I have been natural for 6 years. I have recently decided to stop using heat and wearing my hair in it's naturally curly state. My hair type is 3b everywhere except for one little section in the back of my hair which is 3c.

I am looking forward to interact with other women of the curly hair community!

Hi all~
I am so glad to be here. I love the wealth of information here. A little overwhelming but sooo excited. I love my curls. I just get kind of ...bored and lost with the style and color some times. I would love some information on colors and styles. My friends with straight hair just do not know what I mean. I don't know what to do with bangs and my grays come in sporadic so coloring is beyond me!!! I have super dark hair so where and what color do I put ...err...where. Thanks
OH and I think I am a 3A.....
Hi everyone! My name is Rhonda and I'm so happy to have found this site! I have just recently (as in just about four weeks ago) decided to start embracing my natural hair texture (wavy swavy, mainly because I want it to grow out. I've stopped using heat on it and have been using sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. I also started deep conditioning it once a week to help put moisture back in it after all the years of blow drying and flat ironing. I can't believe the difference in just this small amount of time! I also had about 1 1/2 inches of split ends cut off. I haven't noticed any new ones yet! I'm looking forward to seeing how long I can get it to grow now that I'm treating it right. I'm sure I'll spend hours reading through this site.
Hi, I'm a newbie here, but not for curly hair. I have had long hair for over 30 years. Gave up curlers and wrapping, & let my hair go au naturel. I would like a change to straighten my hair, but with no formaldehyde, no Brazilian where I can't wash it for days, & no lye. I've heard about cysteine, but cannot find it anywhere, nor can I find any stylist who works with it. My zip is 11710. Can anyone help. I am a 3a. Arlene
Hi there! I'm Vibha and I just recently started loving my curls and hair in general! Thanks so much for the information! I was wondering if you knew any products that would especially be good for defining top layer curls because the upper layer of my head, no matter how hard i try, never seems to curl and always hides my curls with a weird sort of straight frizzy strand! Anything would be appreciated! Thanks again!
Heey everyone!! im from manitoba, canada and ive been fighting my curls for AGES! straigtening them, frying them then proceeding to pinn them back as tight as possible. i then discovered the curly girl methods and have now been using the live clean and down under nude conditioners as well as argen oil and aloe vera gel. anyways i dont rlly have any questions for u guys. just wanted to say hello and introduce myself
Hello everyone,

Im from Lansdowne Pa,
I had a long time love hate relationship with my hair. After years of trying different styles (weaves, micros, etc...) and then rocking locs, I turned to trying a wavy nouveau thinking that it was going to stay with it.
After i had the wavy nouveau I noticed that my hair would break off around the time i needed a touch up, I did everything I was told to do and still it kept breaking off so I decided to go natural.

My question is: Now that I am trying to go natural how can I repair my hair so that its not so dry and brittle?

Thank you,
Monica

Hi! I am new to CurlyGirl Method (July 3, 2012). I am also embracing my Gray (last color Jan. 4, 2012). I have been doing self-trims and researching and using various curly friendly and gray friendly products. I quit blow-frying my hair, scrunch with my hands, quit combing my hair and am trying to get it in the healthiest condition possible!

I am happy to have found this site! I am excited to start learning NaturallyCurly!!!

Thank You,
Jennifer
