I'm going to try and talk my parents into getting a hair cut for the summer. I want to way shorter, but I'm still try to find the right style for me. if you have any ideas please, please tell me!~

Default FL girl

Hey! I am also new to this site, I found it via Pinterest. My hair is a 2c. I read some ladies talking about the Curly Girl Method. Can someone please tell me what that is or where I can find that information on this site? There is so much information; I am loving learning about how to help my hair!

Thanks,

KatieB

Hello and greetings,
I am Ebony and I am 20 years old. I did my BC on New Year's Eve 2013 and now I am very confused but optimistic about where to start at. But I am anxious to see where this journey is bound to take me with all of those who are on the journey along with me.
I am still a little confused about what my hair type is so I don't want to give a definite type but I am leaning towards somewhere between a 3c to a 4b. I still am completely unsure but it is somewhere in there.
Well, I am anxious to see where this journey takes me...

Love and peace,
Ebony

Smile How to post on Forum

Hello Everyone!
SO I have been mod CG since June 2012 and I am still trying to figure out my routine. I am fairly sure my hair is 2C but maybe a little 3a. I co-washed for the first time today because my scalp has been really itchy the last couple of weeks. I live in the Bay Area of California and it has been cold, 30-60 degrees F.

My hair did not get curly until a couple of years into puberty and I am now figuring out how to care for it properly.

I am so grateful for this website and this community, I just wish more curlies and wavies that I know in real life would quit SLS and go CG!

My whole life changed when I stopped using SLS shampoo, stopped blow drying my bangs, and stopped using terry cloth towels. I used to wash my hair with Dove EVERY day and I will never go back! Now I cleanse twice a week tops.

I am currently looking for HG products other than Kinky Curly Knot Today. I was wondering if any one can way in on Sorbitol. It is in my Renpure Cleansing Conditioner and Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Gel. Is it bad for cold humid climates?

Red face Starting over....again

I did another big chop today. I've been natural for a little over 2 years now. But I really had no idea of what I was doing. Just kinda picked things up along the way. Taking my daughter along for the ride as well. Her hair is thriving, mine - not so much. So I hopped onto the site today. Throughly classified my hair, journaled some of my past experiences with different products and recipes and am ready to make a more committed effort this time around. Here goes everything!!!

Hi, I'm a naturally curly girl from Australia. Like others here I've been lurking around after finding this site surfing the web and decided to join.
I have discovered I'm a 2c but since starting the curly girly method and reading all the tips on this site I think I'm headed towards 3a or beyond!.

Before you post a question (it's the "New Topic" button on the top left side) please make sure it hasn't been answered already. CurlTalk is a big place and it gets even bigger when we have repeat questions and threads popping up everywhere. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction -- I know it can be overwhelming. What exactly do you need advice on? You can always use the search bar in NaturallyCurly and click the "curltalk" tab to only get results that are in the forum.

Here are some healthy curly hair basics >> ABC's of Curly Hair and Curly Hair Growth Chart and How to Winterize Your Curls

hope that helps!

Hey Carriejo327 -- since this is the Newbie Introduction thread, it may be more productive to visit this thread instead Readers' Product Reviews - CurlTalk and a couple Lush products are in our Product Review section, so you can read those reviews also! Product Search Results Let me know if a certain product isn't on that page and I'll add it.

Hey all! I'm a total newbie and thought I give a greeting. I recently started my hair journey and I'm sharing my progress and a few things I've learned on YouTube. My hair type/texture is undefined to me maybe some one could help me out? Sometimes it feels like a 3 b/c and other times it feels like a 4 a/b lol a real mess but I love it lol. Hope to learn as much as I can, and have a successful journey.

Much love
