Good Lord there's soo many of us!

Welp hey everyone! I'm Shaina. I'm african american and native american. I haven't been natural since the sixth grade.
I have burnt, relaxed, dyed, and done about everything else imaginable to my hair since than.

I'm a year post-relaxer and trying to figure out when I'll have the balls to cut those ends off...especially since most of the relaxed ends have already broken off.

I'm 19 years old, quite a fire ball and can't wait to meet some more fireball sistas that can relate to the struggle of getting off creamy crack!
First an introduction, which are usually best, right?

Hello, my curlie sistas! I'm ConverseInk, formerly TatsnConverse. I've been around NC for awhile, mostly trolling, but I do post occasionally. I'm honestly not certain if I ever properly introduced myself which is why I'm here.

A little about me: I'm 26, I have naturally curlie red ringlets, and I'm a totally geek. LONG LIVE STAR WARS!!!

My biggest issue is that I'm a creature of variety. I have this unique ability to just go with the flow of life's ups, downs, and round abouts and when it comes to my hair, it's no different. I've never had a problem with cutting my hair, I've even donated to Locks of Love twice, but I'm spontaneous and in my spontaneity I ran out and cut my hair really short. Then I came home and decided it was not short enough and cut off another inch and a half.

It's not bad. The cut is fine. I just don't like it. I just really don't like it. I was on my way to growing my hair back long and curlie and decided that I was bored, needed a change, and cut it again.

Now it's mousse, blow dryer, flat ironing, lots of conditioner and deep treatments on a near daily basis to keep it presentable. It upsets me, but I just take a Biotin and put a smile on my face.

I guess I'm here for support and tips, but mainly support as I grow and try to learn to be comfortable with me.

Peace, Love, & Converse!
Hello everyone, I've been natural for a year now and I'm still having questions on how to moisturize my scalp. I've been on the cg method for 6 months and I've seen a BIG decrease in flakes and my scalp hardly ever itches anymore but is there a way to still keep my scalp moisturized and make my styles last longer. By the time I wash my hair my hair still looks great like it could go another 2 days but to make sure that my scalp doesn't itch a have to co wash. I just want to know if there is a hair cream or an oil that I could and to my regiment to help make my hair last longer and keep my out of my hair.
I bought Moroccan oil at the beauty salon, but when I got home and was able to read the tiny print, the first two ingredients are cyclomethicone and dimethicone. I asked my hair dresser before I purchased it if it contained silicone and she said "no!"
Hi, everyone! I've been lurking around here for a while now, and I figured I should start posting and contributing a bit.

I'm 32 years old and live in the suburbs of Atlanta (aka HotLanta). I have 3B/3C hair that is in the process of growing out from a pixie/faux hawk. I FINALLY accepted the fact that I have this wonderfully crazy head of hair, and got rid of my blow dryer and flat irons. I've been transitioning into the CG method, and not having many issues, but finding products for my hair has been a challenge, and I'm a little overwhelmed with all the products I've bought in the past month. At this point, it's just a bunch of trial and error.

In addition to being 3B/3C, my hair has low porosity, high density, and it's coarse. Any help or suggestions will be GREATLY accepted :-)

I also have a 4 year old daughter with 2A/2B hair. At least I know how to work with her hair, unlike my poor mother who had NO clue how to deal with curly hair.

Anyway, it's great to be here, and to finally have a place to turn to for help with my hair!!
Hey, I don't know how to upload a picture for my profile. Can someone help

Hello!

I big chop tomorrow at 10 am and I am so excited, a little nauseous (happens when I get anxious), but excited. My hair has been without a perm for over a year, but only by accident until about the last month when I decided this is what I wanted. Lol. I always knew my hair was naturally curly. I'm half West Indian (Dominica), but my mom had my hair permed when I was five in Germany. She said it was too spongy and every time they would curl it with a curling iron, it would sponge back up. I always thought I wouldn't do this until I was like 50 because then, I wouldn't care about opinions and would be doing it for myself, but I have that attitude right now. Plus, it's kind of coinciding with a fresh start being ripped away from a six-year relationship.

I don't have a pic on here yet because I don't think it makes sense to have a pic with long straight hair. Although It was blow dried (grrr.... ) and cut shorter recently. Now, I want it completely chopped off. Also, it may look like I colored my hair, but it's naturally really light reddish blondish color and I swear it just happened in the past like 3 years. I haven't been colored since I was around 15, so I don't know where it's from and it's not the sun because I stay inside on computers. But, my son's hair is blonde at the roots, soooo... anyway. Lol. Nice meeting you. I'll see what it looks like cut, It's very crinkly and spirally in some areas. Can't wait!

Please comment and cya :P

It's just like with facebook or instagram. You go to edit your profile, click the picture or button that says upload or edit picture, choose from your computer or phone, if you can and press upload.
I liked the straight finish sealer the first time I used it and straightened my hair with the flat iron. when I used all three products to straighten my hair, it looked greasy and did not feel as soft. Using the shampoo and leave in conditioner together made my hair look fuller and it blow dried faster too. I was not able to use the finish sealer as I was pressed for time, but my hair still maintained the straight look with just blow drying it that day. Overall the products help to maintain a straight look with a hair dryer as well as a flat iron! You also do not need to use very much to get the straight look that you are looking for after all.

Hello Everyone! My name is Catarina and I am 20 years young!! I reside in Mississippi where it is very HOT and HUMID!! I am biracial (white & black) i have 3b, low porosity, fine, thin hair. I was born with curly hair and at one point in life I HATED IT (Literally)!! In the past I've gotten a total of 3 relaxers to which none really worked on my hair hint the fact I have low porosity hair which I later found out. Being that I have accepted my hair and learned to love it I've also did ALOT of research and now have HAPPY HEALTHY HAIR!! I just wanted to introduce myself and if you have any questions feel free to ask! And feel free to give me any advice!! It would be greatly appreciated!!
Hello everyone,
I'm new here. I read a lot about naturally curly hair on the website.
I'm naturally curly 2b type but I did all my best to not have any curl on my head because I didn't know how to style it.
Then, after a year spent fighting against my dry horrible hair, I've decided to try my naturally hair and I like it much more than before.

Anyway, any friends from all over the the world is welcome and any suggestions too.

I hope to hear from lots of friends very soon.
