Hello fellow CG's! Excited to keep learning about how to love my curls!
New to the CG Method.
Shampoo: SM Moisture Retention Shampoo
Conditioner: SM Restorative Conditioner
Styler: FSG, SM Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk, Olive Oil eco styler gel.
Multiple personality curls on my head!
This site is changing my life!!
I only had tree washes with the CG and I really can feel the huge difference

But I still need some help, I don't know my porosity... I tried the flotation test, my hair is always floating BUT it take hours to dry (after two hours or more it is like 10% wet). I read that low porosity doesn't like proteins, but my hair loves homemade collagen masks. Any idea??

Kisses for you girls!!!
3a/3b
Very long black
Thick and coarse
Very new CG
Hi All! My name is Leah and I always thought my hair was just unruly and crazy. But, turns out, I'm actually curly! Lol. I think I'm a 2b to start, maybe ending up at a 3a, as things progress. I've just started CG and I'm LOVING it already. I'm just a couple days into CG, but I've attached a pic. This is the best I've ever had curls

Hiya! I'm new to the whole CG thing, my hair was never curly when I was a kid, only as an adult. I figure I'm somewhere between a 2C/3A, fine, porous and long hair. I've been doing this a week so far and getting mixed results. I think I need a better product for styling.

I've been using the Herbal Essences Naked Co-Wash, seems to work well for my hair, also using some of the Suave Naturals coconut conditioner which my hair loves. I tried mousse, which has "eh" results and some gel we had around the house (I did check the label!) and it leaves my hair crunchy which I can't stand! I guess I'll look for a creme next, needs to be something inexpensive and available at local stores. (SC here!).
Hello y'all,

My name is Nicole, and I loveeeee my natural hair.
I transitioned from August 2012 to January 2014 (when I did my 'bc').
At first it was a bit tricky to get adjusted to being completely natural, but since I've gotten the hang of it, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I have attached my blog (which is in my profile). I try to update it weekly, but with my school work it has been difficult.
I hope everyone is able to check it out, and follow it if you're apart of wordpress.com

I have been featured on various natural Instagram pages, interviewed, as well as the Trials N' Tresses website for my natural hair and journey.

I look forward to communicating with you all frequently as we all expend on this beautiful, natural journey.

Have a great día,
Nicole

ABsolutely happy! My curls are coming back to life!
Had a haircut 2 weeks ago, I wish I had my long curls back, but it was needed, my hair is so much more healthy!

Im glad to be here!
Hi everyone! I'm new here and joined to learn to take the best care of my hair and to embrace my natural hair more. I was relaxed until Nov. 2011 and I big chopped down to like an inch! Just looking to find what really works for my hair. I've been natural for like 2 and half years and still don't completely know haha
Hello everyone, I am new in here too! I have been reading the posts for about 3 weeks before joining, and have found this very informative! Where I'm from (Finland) it's very rare to have a coarse, thick and curly hair type.Tbh, my hair is wavy rather than curly, but nevertheless, normal haircare has never worked for my hair. And now I know why! I've been doing it wrong all these years!

Thanks to NaturallyCurly I'm on my way to better hair!

hi, everyone
I am Carmen from Dominican Republic and I am new.
I have 3c-4a hair type, and is really hard to manage because is really dry, it doesn't absorb anything, and when it dries it turns out to be really hard to manage.

it also is really abundant, and I cant blow it out because it takes a lot of time, and like the weather is humid it doesn't stay straight(after all the effort).
Hope here I find support and help ^^

Hey everybody! I'm very new to natural hair. I've had a relaxer for nearly my whole life and never had any idea of what my natural hair was like. I tried transitioning for about 4 months before relaxing it again out of frustration. Then one night I just went into the bathroom with my hair shears and just snipped it all away! I've been super excited to learn all about my new hair and have been watching every video online that I can. I'm still confused about my hair type and I'm still trying to figure out which products to use. I would love it if I could get some help on these things. I Big Chopped this past April and at first there weren't really any curls, but over time I've had little "springs" popping up all over the place! Anyway, it feels awesome to find a place where I can get so much info and support!

Hi, I am Sama! I am 30 years old and I've had nothing but issues with my hair since I was a child I have 3b hair type with two types of coarseness. I also have PCOS, anemia (I have chronic kidney issues) and recurrent acute folliculitis. Many hair care products are out for me at the moment due to my folliculitis flare up.

I use primarily organic or salon quality products but I am mostly rotating them with my T-gel and Tea Tree Oil products.

I hope to find some guidance before I chop it off because with the recurrent folliculitis I am not suppose have my hair up often... But lately I look like I stepped out of a Lion King movie.

Looking for tons of info here!
Hello. My name is Nickey. I've been around this site for about a year and a half now trying to learn my natural hair. Finally decided to make an official account and get serious about it. So here's some info about me and my hair:

I'll be 25 in a month.
I've been natural most of my life. But I never really knew what to do with my hair.

I have learned in the last few days that my hair is 3b (I think).
Low porosity.
And currently hip length when stretched.
Highly prone to splits, breakage, shedding and periodic itchy scalp
I'm very excited to join this support community.
I'm new here & those links definitely helped! Thanks!
