I originally wrote a pretty strongly worded, negative review of this
salon. I'm replacing it because it was about one stylist who is no
longer employed there. (I was assured he wasn't let go because of me. I
certainly hope I didn't get someone fired).
What's more, the
owner of the salon called me to apologize and offered me a free haircut
with someone I'd had a good experience with before. That really made an
impression on me. I was surprised by the bad experience I had
considering all the positive reviews this place has. I think this is a
good salon that had a couple bad apples. I'm definitely willing to give
it another chance, and I'm sincerely impressed that the owner took the
time to call me, a person who, by my review, sounding like a crazy,
angry you-know-what, and personally apologize and make things right. She
sounded sincere and completely understanding.
I haven't gone in
for my free cut yet, so I can't say 5 stars right now. But even so, I
can say that the owner of this salon cares about the customers and the
salon's reputation. That's enough for me to amend my review.

This was my second time at this salon. The first time I went to Ashley and I liked the cut, but I really didn't like the rake and shake method. This time, I went to Steven. I told him my problems with the rake and shake but he said it would turn out differently when he did it. It really didn't. It was slightly wavier, but I still really didn't like it.
But that's not really the main problem I had. I told him I wanted long hair. I just wanted it shaped up. He took my chest length hair up to shoulder length. My hair has a very loose wave patter and it's been almost completely cut out of my hair. And the bangs are a mess. They look nothing like the picture I showed him. I've never had anyone hack my bangs up this much.
I liked my cut at this salon the first time I went, but I was really bothered by the product pushing and the one-size-fits-all adherence to Oidad styling. After this experience though, I'm scared to try this salon again.

I have curly hair and was interested in a Ouidad haircut but could not afford to schedule with a certified stylist. I was told that all the employees are very experienced with curly hair. I was skeptical, because curly hair can be difficult to cut and even more difficult to style. I usually have to go home and re-style my hair. Needless to say, I was very impressed how the staff worked as a team. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and treated as I was each of their client. Not only did I receive great customer service but my haircut turned out better than AMAZING. I walked out feeling like a MILLION bucks. My hair was bouncy, shiny and curly without a single strand of frizz. And 12 weeks later, it looks just as good!! Will never go anywhere else!

I visited the salon for the first time in January, and was so impressed with the salon and the young staff. The customer IS their priority. Best of all was my haircut,the best I have ever had. Seriously! Amanda cut each curl individually and took her time to make sure the cut looked good from every angle. I have curly hair and I have never had anyone cut my hair in such a precise way. I recommend this salon for straight hair girls as well as curly girls. My hair even looks good the second day after I wash it. I just run my hands through it and I'm ready to go. I just love it. I'm telling you, this is the ONLY place I will get my haircut, and I moved from OH to Memphis! I have thick, naturally curly hair, and these girls are specially trained in dry-cutting. If you have naturally curly hair, this is the way to go. I can have anyone here cut it, and trust that they will do an amazing job. The girls are all really nice as well. You WON'T be disappointed!
