I originally wanted to see David, but he was booked that week and the receptionist told me Sunnie was great with curly hair too! So, I decided to go ahead and see Sunnie and OMG she is the BEST hairstylist I have had so far!!!!! I'm absolutely THANKFUL I found her!!! She immediately knew exactly what my hair needed, the shape and all and I have just been loving my hair since!!!! She is FABULOUS!!!!! I will only see her from now on!!! HIGHLY recommend her!

I decided to try this place as I saw the previous reviews. They were old but my hairdresser is in another state and i needed a trim bad. As we curly people know, we do not trust anyone with our hair. Most hairdressers do not know that curly hair has a mind of its own and you have to know what you are doing and how to cut it. David did just that. The salon was really clean and avant garde. It was edgy. I had explained to the receptionist that I did not want a wash or styling, just a trim mostly because I'm tender headed and don't want someone else getting my knots out. Trusting someone with a trim is enough. David was very confident and seemed to know everything about curly hair. Without me mentionning it, he proceed to rinse my hair so that it would be wet when he cuts it and not frizzy and tangled. He sprayed any dry spot as he went thru it. He knew how to cut it so it was not a blunt cut and a big poof at the bottom. I have long hair. He layered the bottom well and was completely comfortable. He listen and let me show him how I like the layers to be. Within minutes, I put all worries away and let him handle it. If he suggested some other hair style or cut, I may have listened to him. That is how comfortable he made me feel and i felt I could trust him. He was kind enough to offer to put products in it afterwards and diffuse it for me. I didn't do it as I like to style my hair myself. I may let him next time. Any curly heads out there, go to David with full confidence. He is a little pricey for just a trim but if you want your mind at ease, it may be worth it.

Worth the wait!!! David is a genius with my semi-thick, course hair. Thanks to Jennifer & Tiffany for placing me on the waiting list. My hair practically falls into place effortlessly due to the precise cut by David.

I must add my voice to the chorus of praise for David! He is a master stylist who knows more about the care of naturally curly hair than any other stylist I have ever met. Thanks to him, I now have a cut and style that are easy to care for. My friends are demanding to know who makes my hair look so healthy and manageable. I am also grateful to Delaine, David's associate, who put my name on his waiting list and called me as soon as he had an opening. That was one of the best days in the life of my hair!!
