This was my first curly girl cut, and the whole experience was great. Kelsey explained things well and was very patient answering all my questions. My hair has never looked this good after a haircut--it usually takes two weeks before I like it--but this looked great from the start and even looks great the next day after I slept on it. Didn't have to do anything today.

This was my first curly girl haircut and it is amazing!!! Karen took time to talk with me about what I wanted and also took the time to tell me why she did everything she did. I learned more about my hair and how to take care of it than ever before. My hair looked so good when I left the salon. Her assistant was really nice too. They gave me a bunch of samples to try. This way I can decide which work best for me. The salon was clean and comfortable and I am looking forward to my next curly girl haircut from Karen! I highly recommend Karen at The Village Salon in Pennington, NJ.

I've gotten the best haircuts of my life at the Village Salon. Karen, the owner, is Deva-trained and certified and I believe a number of her staff are as well. This place is definitely the best for curly hair in the greater Princeton area. I tried all of the top salons in Princeton only to find time and again that the so-called "curly hair" experts had no clue -- ugh, disastrous results! Karen not only cuts your hair according to Deva techniques but also really works to educate you on how to achieve the same styling results at home. She is down-to-earth, funny, and really goes above and beyond with service. She sends you home with free samples of hair products and pampers you while you're there with hot drinks, mini-cookies and even homemade ice cream, and a great foot massager to massage your feet while you're under a dryer or waiting for your hair color to process. The Village Salon carries Deva and Jessicurl products and Karen is very upfront and honest about which products she likes for what purposes.

I went to the Village Salon for the first time in the Spring. I have never paid more than $15 for a haircut. Jessica cut my curly hair using the Deva method. She is so fabulous, and knows what she's doing. Really professional! This is by far the best haircut I have ever had! I will definitely return to this salon and to Jessica.

I've gone to Karen for several cuts now and she just gets better and better. She is professional and very knowledgeable about curly hair even thought her own hair is straight. I've also had Melissa cut my hair and she did a great job also...not quite a great as Karen but significantly better than all of the other cuts I've gotten at other salons. Certified Deva and other great products. The mini cookies on the counter are superb! Hot tea or coffee also a nice touch.
