marley hair twisted updo

Naturally Cherrell shows us how she creates an elegant twisted headband updo using only 2 packs of kanekalon braiding hair and some bobby pins.

What you’ll need

Directions

1. Twist each pack down into 1 large twist and secure it with a small rubber band so you have two large twists.

2. Part hair straight down the middle and smooth the hair down with a few light spritzes of water, olive oil Eco Styler Gel, and Jamaican Black Castor Oil.

3. Put each section into a ponytail and made a small bun and secured it with a bobby pin.

4. Attach one long twist to one bun, using the rubber band that came with the braiding hair.

5. Wrap the twist to the front of my hair in the opposite direction and pinned it in place. Repeat this step with the next twist and pin it into place.

6. Wrap the ends of each twist to each opposite bun, separating the hair as you place it to cover your buns.

7. Adjust and play around with it as needed to achieve your desired look.

Remember, it doesn’t have to look exactly like mine, that’s what makes it fun!
