I lived in Tucson for 7 years and never went to the same stylist twice, before I found Krystal. Nobody else knew how to cut/style curly hair or how to differentiate between different curly textures. I am a 3a/3b, and Krystal taught me that the "hair goals" I had been trying to achieve were more realistic for a 3c. She helped me to embrace the specific texture of my hair and worked with me to find styles that I loved that fit my natural curls. On top of all that, the entire staff are so warm and welcoming, you feel right at home as soon as you walk in, not like the pretentious vibe that a lot of other up-scale salons give off.
Bonus: if Krystal isn't available, Joseph is an absolute genius with curly hair as well, and ALL the stylists are fantastic with color!

Joseph has been cutting my hair for 3-4 years - initially when he was working at J. Scordato Salon, and the last 2 years while he's been at The Studio. I love that we discuss what is and isn't working for my hair, and that he is able to offer technical assistance when I'm struggling with styling or other hair issues.
It's a super fun salon and great group of folks that work there!
