Default Elections!

Yeah, the third one's lame. I just really needed a third one.

So, who's voting?

I am voting! I can't NOT vote now that I live in a state that is regularly considered a swing state. Can't say the same for the state I moved here from (OK). I was a liberal in an overwhelmingly conservative state and was constantly frustrated by being in the minority to the point of being deterred from voting. But these are big elections, so even if I was still in OK, I would probably still be voting. Only in PA I feel my vote actually counts for something.

I'll vote.

There's only one race where I think my vote really matters, but to me it's just the principle of it, too. I can't not vote!

I.... am probably not voting.

I have been following the news and elections seriously Not At All. (Stupid med school, taking up all my time/energy/brainpower!) I have almost zero idea what is going on in the world, and I don't feel right making an uneducated vote.... I'd pretty much be picking choices at random if I voted, because I just don't know what the issues are.

O.M.G. I want one! I've campaigned for Casey before. Both he and his family are total sweethearts.

I sent in my absentee ballot last week! I love voting. I'm only 20, but I haven't missed an election since I turned 18. I've also been on campaigns since I was 14. I love this stuff!

Yes I'm voting. The senate race in Missouri is basically a toss-up, so it will probably be determined by a very small number of votes.

I would feel disappointed in myself if I didn't vote, considering that I have strong opinions on a lot of issues, and considering how many people in the world are denied that right.

I simply cannot NOT vote. I have so little power in this country that I must exercise whatever flimsy grasp at having a say I can.

Do I think my vote matters? In some matters yes, most no. But I will continue to do it anyway. I think if you don't vote, you shouldn't get to complain

As one of about 4 Democrats in Texas, yes, I vote. My "guy" never wins, but I feel I must vote. If I don't, the people who run Texas will think that everyone agrees with them...and I do not.

I also LOVE when those 3 fellow Democrats come up to me and comment on the bumper stickers on my car. Makes me feel not quite so alone.

Yes, I'm voting. I'm also fighting mannequinism, argh... letters to the editor have been plentiful for me this year it seems like nobody in my state sees the point of going to the polls, and we have a governor to oust

I think you need a fourth option, the "Won't be voting and opinion Won't be here".

Basically in a new area, have yet to register, and so far behind on my knowledge of candidates and issues that I'm not well informed enough for me to make any sort of decision on the matters at hand.

I voted on Saturday.

Thank God for early voting. I remember when we could only vote on election day. In my tiny little hometown it wasn't a problem (we voted in the one jail cell in the village hall!), but I would imagine that it was pretty awful in cities.

I also think they should really tout early voting big time. My guess is that more people would vote if they realized that they could just swing by the library and get it done on a weekend.

Oh, and voter registration cards piss me off too. It's bad enough you make me register; don't make me keep track of a piece of unlaminated paper, too. Just let me use my driver's license or state ID.

Do you know of any good websites that can give me info on the Missouri canidates. We live so close to the NE border that we pretty much know more about the NE elections then our own.

I'm voting on tuesday I just need to do some more research

I couldn't find any good, non-partisan websites. Here are the Post-Dispatch's profiles of Jim Talent and Claire McCaskill. Your local paper should have similar profiles of your local candidates, have you checked that? Our find out who is running in your area and google them and see what kinds of things come up, especially news articles.

Claire McCaskill

Jim Talent

Here are the issues that will be on the ballot in Missouri and here are the candidates

Yes, I voted in your poll.
Yes, I'll vote Tuesday. I always vote and have been involved in local/state/national campaigns for 25+ years. Being one of the 18 liberal left wing pinko democrats in my county, my people rarely win. But my vote still matters. It matters to me.
