Does Your Cat Yowl And Wail After You've Gone To Bed?

OMG! It even sounds like the cat's talking with an English accent!

My guy sounds more like these two:

BTW, these videos are driving my cat crazy! He started staring at the computer, sniffing it, looking around the back of it to see if that's where the other cat is hiding...

One of mine does that! I think of it as, "Monkey lost her people." She needs someone to call out so she can find them.

My cats will if the bedroom door is shut. I just leave it open. I wake up in the morning with three cats curled around me - 1 at my head, 1 at my feet, and 1 laying across my back (I sleep on my stomach).
Yes he does. It's very annoying. He even does it if I've only taken the rubbish out. I'll get back and he's crying behind the door. Mummy's boy.

If I close the door on him he'll try to open it, it sounds like scratching but it's not. Sometimes he'll take a running jump at the door handle. If he's doing that I'll let him in just so I can get some sleep. But sometimes he bounces all over my bed so I don't get much sleep. This morning I woke up to find the contents of a plant pot all over my bed.
Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.

Yes, the old one does it, especially when he goes to drink water. It's like a loud yodel "I'm takin' a drink - everyone stay back!"

@SpringCurl, that youtube is very close to my cat. He has less vibrato and a more extended tone.

If I shut her out of my bedroom, she will. She'll come to the door with a toy in her mouth and meow. I sleep with earplugs so I don't know how long this goes on, but there will be a pile of cat toys outside the door when I get up in the morning.

As I'm typing these words right now, Yacine just finished rummaging around in my closet, tearing up the towels I JUST folded in there and is now running up and down the hallway screaming his head off cause he's decided it's time for me to spend time with him and I'm on the computer. I can't imagine if there were 3 of him to deal with at the same time.

I didn't find any cats that sound like Brady when he lonely and calls out to us. He doesn't do it regularly. He does, however, make noises every morning at birds like this...

Simon does a lot of chattering. He will bound from window to window and room to room chattering and trying to chase the birds outside. I actually find it to be the sweetest and funniest noise second only to my daughter's laugh.

I'm bumping this.

Two nights ago my next door neighbor texted a mutual neighbor friend who has my number and said there was "weird meowing" coming from my apartment. She texted me and asked when I was coming home from work.

I, luckily, was on my way home to finish my shift there but I was really freaked out because one of my cats is not well and I was worried there was something wrong. When I got home they were both safe and sound so I guess it was just Linus doing his nightly yowl a little early.

Obamacare is not a blueprint for socialism. You're thinking of the New Testament. ~~ John Fugelsang

Kimi does that sometimes. If we go to bed and she didn't notice, she'll yowl until we tell her where we are.

"THE SAME PLACE WE ARE EVERY NIGHT, KIMI!!!"

She then comes and snuggles on my pillow around my head (she refuses to cuddle during the day).

Mojo just yowels for any and everything. So when he does it at night, it's business as per usual.
My cat Bobo used to carry a toy mouse around and make weird, low gurgling-meowing noises at night around bedtime. Hed do it for about a minute or so, while I was still awake, so it wasn't bothersome. It always cracked me up.

When we got Wee One as a kitten, she bonded with Bobo, they were best buddies. She used to watch him do this from the bed, apparently absorbing it all.

A couple years later, when he was really sick and no longer could play, she took up the mantle and started doing it as well. Only her meow is really soft and high pitched instead of low and guttural.

Bobo died in September. Now that hes gone, Wee One has begun to do this as frequently as he used to. She did it last night, and the night before. I love it that she does this. It makes me miss Bobo, but I love that I will always be able to remember him through her, and that in her own way she is remembering him too.
