It's a good reminder, though!

So do they really help? Have y'all noticed any differences since you started doing them?

kegels are great...it makes a difference....and supposedly after a kid it's the key to getting everything back tight down there and preventing postpartum urinary incontinence.

I started having those leaky sneezes a couple of years ago.

I got this:

http://www.gyneflex.com/

I figure if other muscles work better with weight traing, why not the PC muscles.

No more leaks, and the sexual benefits are nice too.

Can you share your routine? How often do you use it? Do you think it's better than doing them on your own?

Ok, besides getting everything tighter, what are the other benefits? Are the orgasms better and longer(and not due to tightness)?

I have the ones with bells inside. I've never used them for their intended purpose, but instead use them in my hands to meditate with. Lovely sound.

A very fun topic, by the way.

The thing (well as set of two) came with an instruction book, but I've since lost it.

I think I started out with 2 sets of 10 daily. I worked up to 3 sets of 20 being able to close the more difficult device all the way. With the gyneflex, there are three different strength kits. I bought the standard medium one.

I now do 3 sets of 20 3 times a week or so. It's nice to be able to sneeze and jump and what not.

Orgasm did become easier and orgasms more intense. Fish oils helped with that too though.

i'm just more in touch with myself there seriously....i do kegels during the day and i do them so much that it's actually sort of relaxing but yes during sex they are appreciated.

Stupid question coming up.... but when you do them during sex doesn't it kinda take away from your pleasure/moment? Does it feel better for you when you do them during sex?

I had a problem with tensing up during sex (a side effect of another gynecological problem) and my gyn sent me to a physical therapist who specialized in pelvic/gynecological issues.

She had me do kegels during sex as a way to make sure you are releasing any muscle tension. Since we don't think about those muscles much, sometimes you are not even aware you are tensing them. Doing kegels can help you become more aware of how to relax them. So for me, it really helped my sex life.

I much prefer to do kegels during sex because it feels more productive to squeeze around something. When I do them any other time, they feel weird and it's harder to tell how well I am doing them.

It feels better for me, in a few ways... physically, first of all, but also mentally since I know what it's doing for him.

I could stand to practice more often though, thanks for the reminder thread.
