Default Average "waiting time" for a 40 something male?

...I'm curious -

How long does it normally take a man in his late 30's to early 40's to achieve an erection - when only making out (clothes on) with a woman?

My husband is 39. There's no difference from when he was 21.

ETA: Almost immediate.

Someone I know is concerned because it took him 10-15 minutes . The chick is afraid she didn't turn him on enough. This was their first time making out (no sex).

I wouldn't think that would be cause for concern.

Depends if he gets to feel her coconuts when making out. If yes, he should have a boner within 10 seconds. If no, he should have a boner within 45 seconds.

I was wondering about this, too. Does it generally take older men longer? Do they lose their erection more easily? I've heard you have to have more patience with men who are in their 40's and up. Maybe it depends on the individual - I'm sure it does to some extent, but I'm curious about in general.

I think he stayed erect for a long time, but it just took him 10-15 minutes to get erect , which concerns her.

We don't know if that is normal for men of that age or not. It sort of sounds like a long time, but what do I know.

If it was their first time then I wouldn't worry. Might have been nerves.

So, that is a long time?

What would you ladies say an average "get up" time is for a man that age when making out?

How about an an average "stay up" time as well, since we are on this topic.

I'm dating a man that's well into his 40s and there are no issues in that area whatsoever. I don't really remember if there were "hardness" issues the first time we made out, but the first time we had sex there were some issues because of nerves. It can happen to any guy at any point in their lives, so I would think it was nerves.

Probably just nervous. Maybe he was worried she'd be judgemental...which it sounds like is spot on.

Send me a picture of her and I'll tell you if 10-15 minutes is too long.

In *my* experience with over 40 men, the erections are a bit slower to arrive, but once there, they tend to last a LOT longer than younger men. The saying about older men is: Half as often, twice as long. I've found that to be true.

My husband says he likes his body's reactions as an older gent, than when he was younger and that thing seemed to have a hair-trigger mind of it's own.
