You gotta know my sister, she was probably completely oblivious and cared even less, but how's that for reusing something?
That's funny.

Oh, that reminds me...I have a cake serving knife that is engraved with mine any my ex's first names and the date of our wedding. I still have it in my knife drawer and use it often. It's a great cake knife. I'm sure I've used it for guests too...

Oh boy, let me tell you about a 'friend' of mine. In 13 years of marriage she cheated on her husband numerous times. She even had a long term 'affair' with one guy that would come to their house after her husband went to bed and they would have sex in the basement (yes, with hubby sleeping upstairs). Husband had to get up at 3:00 am for work and he would leave, and then Mr. Affair in the basement would come upstairs to their "marital bed". This last spring her husband asked for a divorce and left (never found out about the affairs). Within 2 weeks she had her x-boyfriend (that her hubby hated) living in their house- as friends- they said. She has been with several men since then - in their house. Her (soon to be) x husband is now dating a girl and is very happy. My girlfriend refuses to move out of their house until it sells because she doesn't want HIM to have some SKANK in THEIR house using THEIR stuff!

Does one laugh or cry at that story

No kidding. I have the washer/dryer that my ex-husband and I bought. Was I supposed to throw it out because it was from my first marriage?

And what about all those pots and pans? Are those supposed to be trashed too?
LOL We have H's washer & dryer from his 1st marriage! We've got the combined pots & pans thing going on too----sorry but the Calphalon wasn't getting pitched!

The only thing that I will not wear (him either) are our old wedding rings. I've been wondering what to do with them---pawn shop maybe???

Maybe I'm just un-sentimental, but that stuff doesn't bug me.

I wear my husband's old wedding ring as a thumb ring. I wear my old diamond wedding band sometimes, usually on my right hand. It's a pretty ring, a little different, not traditional "wedding" ring style, and since *I* picked it out (and paid for it) I feel like I can wear it if I want to.

The worst part is to this day - he's still the ******* (to her) for leaving. And again, he doesn't even know about the affairs.
