Going to Vancouver - What to do, where to go?

I am visiting some friends in Vancouver and I'm sure they know all the hot spots but want to get different opinions on -

-Sightseeing spots
-Good restaurants
-Area of town that is good
-Shopping - not very high end though
-Clubs/lounges
-Other places to see nearby, I hear victoria is nice and some ski spot, and i will be going to seattle as well

Sightseeing: Stanley Park, Canada Place and the Vancouver Aquarium, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge, the Beaches, Steveston Harbour

Restaurants: tell me what kind of food you like, there are a ton of good places!

Shopping: Robson Street and Pacific Centre.

Nice parts of town: most of downtown is safe: Robson, Yaletown and Gastown are the 3 most popular areas to shop, eat, hang out etc...

Daytrips: Whistler is 1.5 hours away, and definitely worth visiting. Victoria is a ferry ride away and also nice. I'd prefer Whistler, though!

I haven't been out to the clubs in a while so I'm not up on what's trendy these days.

Have a great trip!
Cool thanks. For restaurants - I love thai food, kebab places, indian(not as much but I bet there are some really good ones there), and italian food.

Kebabs - Simba's grill (Robson and Denman in downtown Van or on Edmonds St. in Burnaby) or Jambo Grill on Kingsway and Rupert or Samosa Garden on Kingsway in Burnaby. I know my Kebab places - DH loves them!

Italian - Favorito on Broadway and Cambie St.

There are a couple of interesting Chinese-Indian places that I really like - Green Lettuce and Chili Pepper House.

If you like sushi - The Eatery on Broadway and Alma is a cool place.
Whistler is really nice, so is Stanley Park, Granville Island has cool little shops too.

Lots of restaurants on Denman St. I liked Simba's - they serve Moroccan food.

There is nice seafood restaurant in Coal Harbour with a really nice sunset view but the name escapes me.

I was going to give my suggestions, but madscientist got them all, so I'll just second hers.

Thanks guys! Man I'm going to be freezing up there. I'm from Atlanta so I need to go shopping for hats and heavy coats now!
