I'm in the mood for a creamsicle...

Do you think it'll make me sick if I mix OJ with vanilla ice cream? With a splash of club soda?
Have you ever had those Creamsicle drinks? The alcoholic one? Ugh, I'm dying for a drink. Maybe I can get dh to make me some virgin pina coladas or something.

I'm sorry, M, I don't know - you just gave me a craving!!

Please excuse any typos. For the time being, we are blaming it on my computer.

No orange soda. Just club soda and OJ.

I'll be right back...
Okay, that was really good. I just used the OJ and ice cream, no club soda.

Anything with ice cream in it tastes great. I should have known better. :P

Without the soda you should get one of the molds and blend it and freeze it. Yum.

And that, GB, is just one example of why we all love you so much!
You know, I used to have this fantastic recipe for orange ice cream using freshly squeezed orange and lime juice. It was SO good. Now I want to make some!

Mm, I could really go for a creamsicle right now, too. We actually have some OJ and vanilla ice cream... Maybe I'll make some.

GB--You are such a good man...even tho' you're an enabler.

Mafalda--I didn't make much. I used something like 4 heaping tablespoons of ice cream to 3 tablespoons of OJ. There definitely needs to be more ice cream to cut out the acid taste of the OJ. You can also add a little bit of milk too. The ice cream didn't melt fully, so I half drank, half scooped up the drink with a spoon. It was definitely a nice treat.

Sassette, what happened to the recipe? It sounds really good. I love lime.

It comes out very heavy when I make it – I don't think I'm able to whip enough air into it with my wussy cheapass hand mixer. But it's tasty! I served it for Easter dessert one year with sugar wafers and a rasperry sauce that I made (I jar raspberry preserves reduced with sugar and water) and it was delicious! It's good with chocolate sauce, too.
