I wonder if #2 comes in a wide calf.
I hate having athletic legs..... only when it comes to buying boots.

RCC I'm wondering the same thing. I really love those. Damn big, muscle calves.
I remember when you bought pair #1. Loved them. I rarely wear heels anymore though I like your #2s too. The detail is really unique.

I don't wear heels often, but I like heeled boots.
I do need to buy snow boots this year though, so I also need to find a practical pair of snow boots.

Oh, and I found these in a shorter heel. They're plain, but the color variety is nice. I'm not sure if you you're a no-heel ot short-heel-is-OK person.

I do like a shorter heel and I like the price. I', ok with plain. I want something classy to last a few years.

I have ridiculously large calves, and it takes forever for me to find large-shaft (heh, dirty) boots that don't look like they're made to fit elephants. But I did, and I didn't even have to have them custom made.
DSW now marks they're "wider calf" boots they way they do large and small sizes, and wide and narrow shoes. Even on their website. That's how I found mine.

Thanks! What's super awesome is that not only do they fit my ginormous calves, but I can cram jeans in em' too and they still fit properly. I've always abhorred the tucked-in-jeans look mostly out of jealousy because I thought finding boots I could get my legs AND my jeans into was a pipe dream. No more.

If I wore heels I'd be all OVER these, so pretty!
I really, really want a pair of boots for the winter! I don't think I can pull off tucking my jeans in not to mention I don't think any of my jeans would fit into a boot. I just want something cute and comfortable to walk around in for several hours at a time.

I got these last year:
Clarks Originals Witch Hazel
I just got these last week:
Privo Kinsey
I don't generally do heels, so I am a little nervous with these...so I'm thinking of exchanging them for something flatter. Also, the insert is not nearly as cushioned as other Privos I've seen, especially in the heel. But...they look fab on, so I dunno.
I've been eyeing:
Privo Ricegrass (love the eggplant suede, but might be boring and go for black...ooh, but I love the purple!!)
and
Privo Hayseed (probably in the black, which I can't find any pics of)
There are a number of Keen boots I like, and I ought to find a higher boot, but I too have calves that are troublesome, though not as troublesome as size my 5 (almost) feet with problems of their own.

I have uber large calves (and one is bigger than the other) and I get my boots from a couple of different places.
www.torrid.com - affordable (under $75) but not real leather...trendy, usually last 1-2 seasons. Available online and in store.
www.widewidths.com - they rarely have boots under $100, but almost all of them are real leather and specially made for large calves.
www.avenue.com - large calf boots in med and wide widths
www.lanebryant.com - just started carrying large calf boots online AND in select stores (most of the larger stores carry them).
Every now and then, I can find some on zappos.

who me,
Love the first pair but i'm a sucker for buckles and such.
I love all the riding boots. I saw a pair last month at the county fair that I loved so much I wanted to knock the girl down and steal her boots. : )

I like no. 2, but I'm on a lace-up kick right now, myself. And I love no. 3!

Those and the Sodas look a lot like the Madden Girl Zoiiee boot, which I got on sale two weekends ago at Macy's for $69 — and I'm sure the price keeps dropping. It comes in brown and grey.
Here's the Macy's page for the Madden version. [The grey looks really dark, but it's really a medium grey.] The only thing with buying in-store is size selection — I had to compromise on that.
