Ugh. You guys gave me boot fever. : )
So I ended up getting these in black and brown. $33 each, free shipping, so at least that didn't hurt too much. Can't wait to get them.

They are HAWT aren't they...and they come over the knee...almost thigh highs really!
I got them from www.widewidths.com a speciality site for wide calf boots. They are made by Ros Hommerson. He has a style that is very similiar for those that don't need the extra calf room...you should be able to find them a zappos I think.

I have the opposite problem as some of you. My calves are 13.5" at the widest part, with pants. Still looking for a pair of tall black leather boots with narrow calves in the $100 to $300 range, if anyone has recommendations. (Yes, that's a big range. I'm not rolling in cash and above $200 it starts to hurt, but I am willing to pay for quality. Where I live, we wear boots three-quarters of the year.)

I like LaCanadienne boots b/c they are so comfortable for walking long distances and completely waterproof...even the leather and suede. But the calves are pretty narrow.

Here is a pair that is only 12.5" in circumference in a size 6. It could work under pants for you.

You can do the opposite of what I do. Take them to a good shoe shop or leather place (usually places that do saddles or even leather fetish stuff) and have them taken it. I usually pay like $50 a pair to have my let out (where they insert leather at the seams) and I've seen smaller ladies have them taken in for half that cost. I think its totally worth it!

Jess, I don't know if you're still looking at the Soda boots I posted, but I got them online at Lulu's. They're cheap! $39 - but not real leather.
(I now call "pleather" "vegan leather" - it just sounds so much classier... )
I LOVE riding boots. The brown ones you posted are killer. I also love the black ones that lace all the way up that someone posted.
It's ridiculous for me to buy another pair of boots - I live in San Antonio, for the love of Pete. I'll be lucky if I get three weeks of wear out of a pair of boots in the winter. (Not that I don't wear them anyway - it's damned hilarious. As soon as "fall" arrives, everyone starts pretending we have fall weather even if it's in the 80s!)

I have so many knee high boots that I wear on a regular basis and I bought 4 pairs at the end of the season last year.
This year, I decided I need some boots that I wear when I run around with my kid/run errands.
I got these:
 in grey and in camel.

I'm still contemplating them. I just don't love the brown color as much as the color of the ones I posted. But the price difference is so big that the Soda ones might have to be it. I'm pretty sure if I had never seen the Carlos Santana ones I wouldn't be so indecisive.
Jeep I really like those and what a great price. All these riding boots are tempting me!

I'm so going there to hunt then!
I showed SO the Carlos Santana's I want and he said go for it. He thinks they're HOT! I was hoping he'd hate them and end my obsession...no such luck.

They usually don't have my giant size in his shoes. I do check periodically.
