I bought these at the end of the season last spring -- got a real deal on them. Can't wait to wear them! (White Mountain.)

How about these ones from Ecco?
Circumference is 13.50" and there is a buckle at the top to adjust. Ecco's generally run narrow, though it does vary from style to style. Oh, and these have Goretex too.

It's raining again in DC so of course I'm thinking about rain boots. I just started working with Sperry and they have some really cute ones in their fall collection. I'm sure the Pelican rainboot would probably work for gardening too! Do you all usually go with a crazy pattern or black/brown when you get rain boots? I like these:

LOVE #1! Was just dreaming of new boots today. If you get them, let me/us know how you like them!

I like those. Although I never had to wear rain boots, I guess if I did, I'll get black, animal print like yours, or Burberry.

I get solid colors, so neither. I love my glossy pea green Hunters (color's no longer available, though).
If they weren't so expensive I'd get them in glossy red, too:

Oh, I hear you on that. I mentioned they're from last year because of availability concerns. They were being sold at piperlime.gap.com and are out of stock now.
They're Apepazza 'Genova' Boots. Good question though because it looks like they can still be found for sell other places. Here they are at womensshoes.com. Piperlime was selling them for $120, and they're $208 there.
This site hooks you up with some other retailers offering them. I'm sure there's even more retailers than that, and if you're of the mind to buy previously owned, I wouldn't be surprised if you could snag them on ebay or something.
eta: I just noticed that womensshoes.com represents them as made from "fine imported Italian leather." That isn't the case according to Piperlime (who's reputable) and others. So I wouldn't buy from them...sketchy way to do business. And they jack up the price at that.

I love my new boots.
ETA - these are really nicely put together for $33 (and free shipping from Urban Originals). The tops fold over for a different look, the buckles adjust, they are lined with a nice soft lining, good treads for winter. They also have a partial zipper on the inside, which I really don't understand but see on alot of boots. I guess it's to help pull down your jeans if they ride up, but why not just put in a full zipper?

I don't get why boots either have to be motorcycle or cowboy style this year. I want something more classic. It's a fine line. I like wearing boots with knee-length or longer skirts, but I want something that will make the overall look appear less art teacher-ish.

Jeep, love, love, LOVE those on you!!!
I have a question because I really want to buy some boots, but am I going to have to purchase new jeans too? The jeans I have and love are boot cut and no way are those going to tuck down into a taller boot, right?

Pretty much. I'm hunting for a slimmer legged jean that I can tuck into boots. I can get my boot cuts in there, but it's not comfortable and they blouse at the top of the boot. Not hot.

I'm still shopping around... But I LOVE so many of these boots - especially Jeep's. I just don't know if i can do the high boots... I think I'm more of a mid-calf kind of girl. Also, I kind of prefer a more brownish-red leather, which has been surprisingly difficult to find. Unless I want full out cowboy boots. Which I don't.
As a total guano... Spring, I've told that "bananosecond" joke so many times, after seeing it in your signature. Unfortunately, no one else seemed to think it was as hilarious as I did.
