Default Anyone else's hubby do this?

Why oh why do we have lights that don't work?
Dumb me for not checking the last batch before putting them up!
They weren't marked or anything either & were w/ all the working ones...grrr
But damn it looks good when they are all up & lit

LL...you can chime in any moment here!

After many times learning the hard way, I always check the string of lights first. AND, I've learned to throw away the problem ones right away. I'd rather go buy new ones than fiddle around with the bad ones.

That being said - when we moved into our new house last year, I put clear lights on top of the kitchen cabinets (makes a nice lighted glow off the ceiling). It was so cool. Well, literally a week later there must have been a power surge or something and it blew the whole string (both strings). What a pain it was to re-do it

Since I'm in charge of decorating, I always check them first

DH never learns either. He does the outside and we do the tree lights together. At least I remember to check the indoor ones.

We do the outside lights together and I always plug them in to test first. We had two strands out this year, but I had bought extras last year on sale.

He does the ones that go around the roofline and I do the luminaries down the pathway. Shameless picture of my house below.

LL...ok, I definitely think your hubby has mine beat...lol
spring...very nice! Hubby hasn't done anything outside, lightwise. I have my banner, windsock, wreath on the door & naughty or nice sign out. I can't get him to put lights on this house. He says it's too high up But he will fly around in one of those teeny 2 seater planes

lol @ LAS...I had to do a double take when I read that...too frickin funny!
Love those skinny snowmen w/ lights. Those were ones you did, right?

We'll see what happens when hubby gets home tonite. He might be motivated since I've put up quite a bit in the house...all the garland & lights around the stairway...the stockings...a few other sentimental pieces...wreath over the entryway...blah, blah...lol

Otherwise, the tree goes up tom. Looks like you might have to put it up yourself, eh?

Hey, you invented "LAS", not me!

The snowman hubby cut out last year from the original his brother sent us probably the year before. I did the painting & light stringing. We have one small & our friends here have a set of one small & one large.

Are you kidding? I'm on strike putting up anymore decor myself!

Well you must be stubborn as myself!
But you gotta have a place to put the prezzies, right?
I've gotta have some kind of a tree, even if it's a little one, ya know?

Hey, you deserve it, right? Don't stress about it so much!
I didn't get anything for hubby. I already told him I'm not buying him anything anymore. Hopefully he heard me And I don't feel guilty one bit! The little one is the focus now
Girl don't fight all that!

Maybe I deserve it, maybe I don't. I just don't like getting more than I give. I guess guilt was beaten into my brain at a young age.

Oh, and I don't like people staring at me, just waiting for an expected expression to their gift.
