Maybe he got infected in the bus or from a scratch or something? Same with the boys in the barn?
I'm not liking this at all. Breaking the dern zombie rules, the hell.
And no Kevin Smith did not just say that foolishness. Next.

Holy smokes I did not see that coming!!!!!!!!! Shane finally got what was coming to him.
I think it's gonna end up where actually everyone is infected they just don't know it until they're dead and come back....that kid had to be infected from the jump!

If he got infected through that scratch he made on himself than that means it'll happen to Rick too.
What did Kevin Smith say?

I don't know! As many ppl/vombies as shane has killed I'm not surprised he was infected. Plus he's been acting so crazy n whatnot he probably had the fever n was just ignoring it. Maybe if his immune system learned to kill the virus off but once he was dead n had no immune system the virus took over....ah ha! Lol idk

If that's the case....my mind is blown. What is there to live for then? Will Lori's baby be a zombie?

Some mess about an Aunt Jemima uniform. I just want to watch Talking Dead, so I'll be back after the comic book craptastic show is over.

That's true. It could've been causing his craziness. Now the microbiologist in me wants to know where/how it originated.

I want some answers....the hell! That was a good episode. Rick stabbed that guy, wow. And he didn't even see it coming. I don't think he thought Rick would do it.
Dale called it.
WTF happened with Darryl and Glenn?! Darryl could be a CSI, but he already knew how Shane was.

It's gotta be an airborne virus...
I knew something was gonna go down when Shane snapped that kids neck but I surely didn't think it was rick giving him the business end of a knife

I thought Shane bashed his head on a rock but now I know he was more creative. But I thought zombies needed trauma to the head or neck? Am I confusing my zombies? LOL
Meanwhile, someone already update wikipedia with Shane's death LOL
People work fast on the Internets.

Ok, if he was infected that definitely explains the head slapping he was doing in the barn. And those weird noises he was making when he banged into the tree. Very Walker-ish. And I don't mean Cordell, lol.
I don't think the actor is the same for the barn guy in this episode as in past episodes. They tried to hide it but I don't think they did a good job.

What the HELL! Oh my word, jaw dropper.
What was with those zombie flashbacks at the end right after Rick killed Shane?
And I don't know what is going on with this turning into a zombie right after dying thing, but it's a game changer! They're gonna have to get the hell off the farm now.
The voice of reason is gone (Dale) and the whole contention push/pull with Shane is done. What next!
Oh my word. Just, WHAT!?!

I''ll put this in spoiler tags just in case: in the comics, they reveal that everyone's infected - once you die (even of natural causes), you come back as a zombie. So, if we're going by the comics, Shane turning into a zombie doesn't mean he was scratched or anything like that. Same with the kid Shane killed. Dale's different because he was shot in the head before he could turn.

Ooh! That makes sense. Hmm. How did everyone get infected though? Or is it like it spread through air or water, someone died and then started the walker situation? That would work

Do y'all think that is what the Dr. whispered in Ricks ear right before he blew himself up? That this is all airborne and nobody is safe.

They did some foreshadowing a few episodes ago (seemingly) alluding that biting wasn't the only cause or something like that. I just scanned the episodes this year but couldn't find it. I'd probably have to watch them again to find it. About to watch the new episode. I'm one of those people that doesn't mind reading/hearing spoilers, I'm still going to watch/read something to get my take on it.

For pure drama, it would be a great storyline to have Lori feel that the baby was no longer moving, for Herschel to confirm it, and then for them to realize they'd have to do a lightning-fast emergency c-section before the baby turned. Or am I warped?
Last night's ep was great! I'm so glad they've stopped all the navel-gazing of the first half of the second season. The stuff with Shane/Randall and Shane/Rick was gripping, and it was a great way to finally resolve the unendingly annoying triangle while still having some ish happen that's interesting to watch.
I really liked the little reality-chat Rick had with Carl. It was sweet, but not sugar-coated.
From the previews, I'm wondering if it's time to move from the farm!
FINALLY, T-Dog has some lines!

The farm is about to be overrun anyway! I'm betting they kill off at least two more people but leave the finale at a critical moment to where we're gonna be like WHAT!!!!!
