Shane's face gets on my damn nerves. I can't stand Rick's wife.

Good episode.

I hated the whole thing with Lori and blond chick (sorry I forgot her name). So because you are a woman you are required to cook, clean, etc.? At least I give blond chick credit for standing her ground. She is irking me less now.

I knew Shane and Rick would throw down. So much macho crap though. *grunt* Lori mine. *grunt* Blech.

I'm curious what will happen to the new guy. I see the problem but wonder if there will be more to the story.

Was that a random walker in the meadow at the end? Couldn't really see but looked like a blond lady

Also, I didn't know zombie skulls are so brittle that a knife can penetrate

Yeah but I think the walker was a guy. I recall him having a suit on. I'm wondering how that scene with Shane looking out on the walker in the meadow had some significance. I couldn't really put it together.

Rick should have left Shane to die in that bus. You know Shane would have left him for dead in a heartbeat.

Yes!! Dude literally had just tried to kill him. If I were Rick, I would've left his hot headed ass.

Kind of intense episode. I like the Shane-Rick dynamic and like them both.
Loved Lori getting her a$$ chewed. I can only hope she gets chewed by a zombie someday.
The zombie in the meadow I didn't quite get - it was the same scene as when they were going into the town so I didn't understand the significance of seeing it twice. I'm sure it's some important meaning tho. But I leave the heavy thinking to you guys. : )

I saw it as mirroring the other time Shane survived a mass zombie attack? Except this time Shane is kind of in the same position as the guy he sacrificed. I thought it was supposed to signify some sort of change in Shane. Although I find that hard to believe.

I have a feeling it is foreshadowing walkers infiltrating the "safety" of the farm. I mean they can't stay completely away forever.

I kind of thought about it as the new normal. He looks out in a field as he's contemplating the direction his life is going, and he sees this lone, wandering zombie, and that kind of says it all about this new life they're living. Even in the non-scary moments, this is their reality. This is how you end up, or could end up. Alone, not even you, wandering aimlessly, no meaning to your existence.

I haven't read that anywhere, so I could be way off-base in my interpretation. But that's the feeling I got from it. When you think about it, that could have been Shane, if Rick had left him there. If he'd got bitten and turned, he'd have no one--that zombie could be him.

I've only seen the ep once, but I thought there was a lot of out-of-order storytelling, so the zombie was the same both times, but we got foreshadowing.

Wavy, that's a good thought. Though I think Shane wouldn't have been bitten, he would have been torn to shreds and eaten.

Sigh. One can only hope he would be.

LOL you are wrong for that, but I'm right there with you.

I think it's great that so many people interpreted that lone zombie differently. Lots to think about.

Oh, yeah...heehee, you may have a point there! Those zombies seemed pretty hungry. Speaking of which, why did Shane feel the need to cut himself and rub blood on the door of the bus? Those zombies were already trying to climb into the bus--they didn't need extra encouragement. They were RIGHT THERE. Seems like a good way to get an infection for no good reason.

I think I'm watching too much of this show. In the past three weeks I've had two dreams that I was being chased by zombies, and one that I had worms growing out of my head.

Great show!

To kind of guano: I was flipping through channels this morning and "Rick" was on Rachel Ray's show. He has the loveliest British accent, which totally threw me! I would never have known he wasn't American if I hadn't seen this.
