Anyone watching The Walking Dead? (Please put comic book/Talking Dead talk in white)

Thanks susu for putting the comic book spoilers in white. I don't read the books/comics/whatever that go along with tv shows as it spoils it for me. I like to enjoy the shows on their own and not compare them to their written counterparts.

I loved the whole season, some episodes more than others, but all in all it was great. I can't wait til next season. Anyone hear when that starts?

Did anyone watch this season?

What did you think of the finale?

I'm watching this season. None of it is as good as that very first episode. One of the best things I've ever seen. I just loved it. But I still like the show.
The whole farmhouse storyline is pretty creepy. And I'm thinking Shane has gotten pretty hot since he's gone kinda crazy. : )
And I hate these midseason finales and hiatuses (hiatusii?).

Forgot to say how much I liked this episode. Glad they killed the barn zombies. Crazy or not, Shane and Daryl are the ones keeping this group of people alive. They do what they gotta do. And I hope they are all forced to leave the farm, because the show would be pretty darn dull if they stay there. And I hope the guy from Lost shows up again soon.

I LOVE IT!!! That ending was so crazy when zombie Sophia walked out of the barn. I'm with Shane, though, they had to be killed. I just hope losing Sophia won't make everyone lose the last shred of hope they had.
I thought this season was slower, less walker action but more character development. But it went down at the end

Watching encore now, look forward to february !

Good point about losing Sophia. I think hope is pretty much out the window now. Rick did it himself, even.

I thought Shane was nice looking even before he lost it, but overall he's a jerk. I thought he would off Dale and make it look like an accident. He's just....wow. Dale was so right out in the woods....Shane belongs in that situation.

When they found Sophia I was just....sad. I was believing right along with them that they'd find her....but not like that. I wonder how it happened? It looked like she had a bite on her neck? I think her transformation was recent based on some of the evidence everyone found. She may have even gone to the barn thinking it was safe and been bitten. Sad.

Also I guess I don't get why they had to be killed....they were contained/quarantined. *kanyeshrug*

FEBRUARY! ARGHHHH!

Ok, had to get that out.

My word, when Sophia came out of that barn.

Blondie is gonna get her face eaten off if she keeps thinking she's got more balls than she actually does.

And when the horn honked in the car when her and Shane were getting their freak on I LOL'd so hard.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I totally cried at the end with Sophia. I'm a mushball.

I tried to watch this show because of Sarah Callies (who plays Lori) being in it... I just couldn't. I'm not a zombie/horror movie type fan, and it just really wasn't my thing. I keep hearing great things about it, though, so reading this thread was interesting!

I really enjoy the show. I love anything zombie. Grew up watching romero films.

andrea is really geeting on my nerves and i'm waiting for her to die. lori is really getting on my nerves and i'm waiting for her to die as well.

i agree i do think shane has gotten hotter since going crazy. i never thought much about him before.

i'm liking daryl way more then season, he is the one character i hope to live til the end, if any one does survive.

does anyone get the impression that sopia was molested by her dad. i didnt notice i until i rewatch season 1 with my sis. remembr the episode after the father was smacked around by shane? he grabs sophia and tells her to stay and she looked horrified? fast forward to season 2 premier, her mom is in the church and ask forgiviness for letting her husbad touch her daughter? i think she let her daughter get molested. am i the only one that got this?

Daryl is my favorite right now. Michonne will probably be one of my favorites too; I just wish they'd hurry up and add her.

I don't like Lori at all. I do like Rick though and her death would probably be more than he could handle.

Shane is CrAzY and makes me fear for Rick's life and everyone else's now that I think of it. He made it clear to Lori that she and Carl are his only concern. And maybe it's just me, but I think Lori still wants Shane.

The zombies in the barn did have to be killed, in my opinion. That barn was not that secure, and it was foolish to keep them because they are not going to get "cured" and they are dangerous. Shane was right about that, though I think Rick was trying to approach it more diplomatically with Hershel.

What I love about the show is not the zombie aspect, I think it's just a masterfully done look at human nature and how people will behave in an extreme situation.
even if there is a cure, does hershel really think anyone would want to live as a decomposed corpse?

Had to watch the last part of this episode again today, just because I thought it was so good.
I am mad for Daryl. Yum. And Shane.
Lori can die any time now. She should have ended the pregnancy. She will put everyone at risk.
I sure enjoy all the shooting. : )

I get very frustrated at how the writers have approached the gender roles on the show. The women are constantly cooking and doing laundry, while the men are off wondering (or lounging). There are some women that it makes sense to me, but I can't believe that Lori doesn't take a turn sitting on the RV and keeping watch, or Dale or the other guy (the one who hurt his arm recently, the black guy) don't do some laundry. Rick, Shane, and Darrel seem to be out on "missions" quite a bit, but if they're not, then they ALL should be doing chores.

Also, I am very aggravated that the writer's portrayed the morning after pill as an abortion pill. The characters are portrayed as total morons all the time, but usually in a way that's a nod to how big of a moron we're supposed to think they are. The scenes with the morning after pill weren't played that way, as if the writers are as ignorant (or right-wing wackjobs) as the characters are in how the morning after pill works.
