He's the big, handsome, and witty type, Bekka.

Yay to Jess! I love stories about animals coming home.

Jess's cat:

"Well, I had a lot of adventures, folks. Rode the rails for awhile; hunted the wild mouse. I won't deny it: there was some garbage eating. I encountered dogs, fox, and more than a few deer and rabbits. Some might say I saw the real America. Bring me a can of that there tuna, and I'll tell you everything you want to know. Oh, and by the way, there may be some pending paternity suits. That, or some young 'uns showing up on the doorstep, suitcase in hand. Sorry about that."
Jess, WOW!!!! How awesome that he found his way back after an entire year!! Yay!

Ninja! That was awesome!

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
The Animal Rescue site has been having these cute competitions every day lately, but in case you didn't see today's, you've gotta check them out. I'm usually much more of a dog person, but IMO this cat wins today hands down! You don't have to log into Facebook to see them . . . .

Ok, the dog video is pretty darn funny, but up against Maru there is just no competition.

When Maru squeezed into the red box at the end then fell over, I died.

Happy to oblige.

I've known many a rail-ridin' feline in my time.

Yep.

Now, where's that piece of straw I been chewin'?

That little fiend!

Today she tried to eat my hard-to-find-in-the-right-size rubber drain plug.

I was too annoyed to photograph it and put on her blog.

Anyway, you're probably right.

Jess I love that! So glad your kitty is safe and home with you again.

Jess, so lovely to hear your kitty made it home, I find it kinda spooky that he came home just after you lost Bagheera. Good spooky though!

This is why I could never have cats, way too independent, going off doing their own thing.

He's still here so that's a good sign. I keep thinking he's going to leave again. He's obviously been taken care of.

Sunny is a special cat to me. A friend worked as a vet tech and little baby kitty Sunny was brought into his office. His tail was "broken" at the end and had to be amputated. After the surgery the shelter wouldn't take him. Something about too hard to keep up on his meds, etc. The vet was going to have to put him down as they don't do adoptions. My friend was apalled and took him home and nursed him back to health. Shortly after that my friend and his wife separated and he came to live with us bringing baby kitty Sunny to stay too. At the time I was having a lot of health issues that kept me home. Sunny and I bonded right away and he became my cat. When he disappeared I was devastated. I love having him back.

I'm so glad Sunny came home.
Weirdly, my friend's cat Sunny disappears every couple years for up to 6 months at a time. She comes back fat and happy but we have no idea where she goes. I often wonder if her 'other' family is wondering the same thing. : )

I've heard about things like this. Sometimes the lucky cats in question wind up in Florida for three months of the year.

Hmmmm.........if I wander around, will someone take me to Florida for a few months? Oh---who am I kidding? I know I'd wind up at the Funny Farm.
Sunny came back because she knew you needed her

At last!

The lovely and charming Sylvan gets the haircut she deserves.

(Yes, I squeeze her nose and say "Honk!" all the time.)
