Love the markings on these funny little kitties
These are pretty funny, too - As usual, I saw them on the daily Cute Dispute sponsored by the Animal Rescue Site
Go for it! I bet Casey would love a new buddy.

Piggy couldn't wait for me to finish cleaning her cage before she jumped on to bury herself in new hay.

the same lady also had two miniature horses, two quarter horses, two cats, two dogs, and a duck.
i may also live in the country.
So far I've asked my SO for: tea cup piglette, capybara, chameleon, bearded dragon, red tail boa, Kitten, Puppy, turtle, tortoise, birds(african grey and duck), possum, and if i could keep the lizard that i visit every day on my morning walk. He said no to all. Maybe a Main Coon in about a year or so.
Apparently finding an animal and bringing it inside doesn't make it domesticated.

I've had a few different kinds of ducks over the years and they are such fun pets (plus free eggs!). My favorites were the white Pekins. They are very fat goofy ducks.

I had two Mallard ducks when I was a kid. I named them both Quackers. I remember that we fed them Purina Duck Chow. They would bite my mother if she yelled at me. They would also chase away the neighbor's dog

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

What happens to ducks in the winter, and can they stand up to cats and raccoons?

When I was a kid the ducks lived with the chickens in the chicken coop. When I had them as an adult they had fenced in pens and houses (like a big dog house).
They were loose during the day and could go wherever they wanted. At night they were penned up to protect them from dogs and foxes. Never had issues with cats or racoons or other animals.
My one Pekin loved the snow and would sleep out in a blizzard. I'd go out and put him in his house but he would come right back out. Always thought he would freeze to death but he never did.
At my one house I had a huge pond and there would be all these wild mallards and wood ducks and mergansers and then there would be this huge white duck floating around with them, chattering away. Always made me smile.
Ducks love to talk and chat and make the cutest noises.

Lookit here follow kidnappers, I have a huge back yard where we can keep our new pets. I just dont have an enclosed fence to keep them from wandering away. I need some volunteers to bulid me onw. I also have a shed that we can convert to a coop so house the chickens and the ducks.
The list getting extensive adn we may did more then one place to house all of the furry babies. Unless someone has a farm?

^ Get it as a baby and it will imprint on you and will be so tame and friendly and will follow you around. They are birds tho, hence delicate, so you have to watch the dogs getting too playful. But it is possible for dogs and birds to be friends. Rowdy, my English Setter had his own pet chicken.
